What is the difference between a Canon PowerShot A10 and Canon PowerShot A20?

I have an A10 and saw someone selling an A20 for $20 on craigs list. I love my camera and was wondering if the A20 is better...and if so should I buy it??

Both cameras are discontinued as they were made in 2001. You can read about them on this site. Go way to the bottom of the page to the discontinued ones. Both of them are about 2/3 down the list. You can compare them there.

If you like the camera and can get the other one for only $20, AND there is nothing wrong with it, it would probably be a good deal. I don't see much difference between the two, but it is always good to have a back up camera.

its odd when using it on broad daylight the pictures seems too bright you can't even recognize the image but when i use it indoor it seems fine with clear images can somebody help me with this?thanks a lot.

Can you use the usb cable of one Canon Powershot camera on a different model?

I have the cable for the Powershot A60 and have the Powershot A10 camera.

You should not have a problem with this, most manufacturers make USB cables universal. I have a 7 year old FinePix, AND a brand new one, but the USB works on both.
It should not hurt anything to give it a try. Sometimes camera makers make the camer end of the USB cable different from one series to the next, so if it doesn't even fit, then your out of luck. If it does fit, it should work just fine.

I'm a 13 year old who has owned a Canon Powershot A10, a Canon Powershot SD200, and a recently purchased Canon Powershot SD870 IS Digital ELPH. I'm now looking for something that is more powerful and more customizable (in terms of manually adjustable exposure, aperture, etc, not add ons), and I'm looking at the Powershot G9, and the Canon Powershot Digital Rebel XSi with Kit Lens. I'm leaning towards the XSi, but I'm looking for a second opinion. If there's a different camera you think would be better, let me know. My only restrictions are that it must be latest generation, it must be Canon, and it must be no more expensive than the XSi with lens.

Why are the XSi and XS the same price? Is there something in the XS that is better? Because it seems like the XSi is the XS with more features.

I have the XTi because I have no use for the live view in a DSLR. I don't use a tripod much, and that is the only time live view would be beneficial. No way would I hold a heavy camera out in front of me to take a pic like with a point & shoot

My opinion is that I would rather have the XTi which is a tried and true popular model and is cheaper. That leaves me more to spend on another lens. Just my opinion.

how do you upload pictures from digital camera to the comp.?

i have a Canon Powershot A10
and we dont have the software.
i downloaded the driver from the canon
website. it told me if i close setup and plug in the camera, the rest of the installation will begin. but it doesn't. what do i do? i looked up the file on the computer and decompressed all the folders and downloaded everything from it, but the comp. doesn' pick the camera up at all!
the USB cord hasn't gone bad and neither has the camera. so now what? how do i get the comp. to recognize the camera?

Try removing the programme you downloaded and then re-download the programme from Canon for the Powershot A10
