it has to be thoe same exact camera and has to be in a store NOT off the internet.
Im a photographer and i dont think they make that camera anymore. You can try going to bestbuy or a specialty camera store and they could possibly order it. Try looking at bestbuy. or call around. sounds like you broke someones camera?

You should be able to recover your lost images. All you need is file recovery software and a card reader.
The links below have free recovery software for you to try...
I've heard that other brands of cameras, can restore things you have deleted, like recycle bin on the computer, but i don't think canon does this ( at least in my experience with canon )

My windows xp cant recognize canon powershot a410 and the drivers are missing.?
in the software manual, it says that xp can automatically detect the camera but actually it doesnt, what cn i do? i tried intalling twain drivers but thats for win98.

as i connect it MY XP automatically detects it..
i have nt installed the software also..i think you should install their software and then try ..hope it works for you..

is the canon powershot a410 good for taking pictures inside a club?
No, I don't think you will have much success. It's a fairly old model (and not a particualrly good one at that).
It has a top ISO of only 200. Using the flash would be your best option. Whether it will be able to auto-focus in a low light setting such as a club, is another question.
It is however an older camera with a very low megapixel rating, which will not preform well under low light conditions and it has a very small and not very powerful flash which will not help much. The best advice I can give you here is if you are going to use this camera in a club, stay close to your subjects and use your flash.
If club photography is what you really want to do, is time to think about upgrading your camera.
How can i reset a Canon Powershot A410 Digital Camera?
Hello, i have a problem with my digital camera, (Its a Canon Powershot A410): I've opened it and the LCD flex cable was teared off and broke, so i tried to solder it back to the camera's mainboard but believe it or not, I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO REMOVE THE BATTERIES, and accidentally i soldered the wrong thing(i joined the 3 contacts), and even i desoldered and cleaned it several times after that, the camera wont turn on.
what can i do about it? can i have the service manual? if you have it or you know what can i do please help me.

Nothing you can do much about it, you broke the cardinal rules of service, always remove anypower source before you disassemble or tinker with electronic device.
Doing so not only damage your device, but voids the warranty.

I own a A410 Powershot camera, how can I record videos with sound?
The sound doesnt seem to work when played back or plugged into my computer to view.
Its by canon by the way.
I looked your camera up on the net, and unfortunately it CANNOT record sound. Also the video is poor quality (640X480 at 10fps) which makes it very 'jerky'.
I would definitely recommend Canon as the best brand to buy, but the A410 is an entry level camera that is aimed at beginners and therefore has limited features.
If you want a better camera you need a newer model (one that takes video at 640X480 at 30fps).
The better models take great quality photos as well as excellent 'video' with sound.

The Manual for the Powershot A410 states that you should contact Canon if powering on and off doesn't make the error go away. Note the number. You've already done that and get in contact with them. You can call them, or E-mail through their site.

press power switch of your camera.set your mode dial to the 1st camera icon.then press function key.drive mode appears.press cursor to the right to move to either 12,10,2, or C. then press again function key. frame and focus on your subject and press the shutter.the camera shoots after the set time of exposure.
Problem writing to MMC card in Cannon Powershot A410?
I have a Canon PowerShot A410 digital camera but I've always had problems writing, via my PC, to the MMC card pluged into it.
When it is pluged into my pc via the usb cable I can view, copy and move to my hard disk all the pictures held on the MMC card plugged into my camera. However, I cannot copy/move pictures from my PC hard disk to my computer.
Any ideas?

Try sending them an email telling them of your problem...or try uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them again.

I had bought a camera and have a $75 gift card at Dell, I want to get a better memorycard to hold more pics and couldn't find it on Dell...new at this, can anyone help me? What I have is a MMC-16M, want a bigger better mega pixels do I need to look for brand names, different names? or does any memorycard works for any canon camera....I had gone to Dell and looked at memory, but wasn't sure if it had to be a Powershot A410 or A620 etc...HELp thank You
