Why is my Canon PowerShot A430 suddenly taking faded, overexposed images?

My Canon PowerShot A430 suddenly started taking faded, whitish, overexposed images when shot in normal daylight. Photos taken with flash in a darkened environment or at night come out normal. What might be the problem?

Check your ISO. Perhaps you have it turned up too high.

Where can I find the serial number on a Canon Powershot A430?

I just bought a new Canon Powershot A430 (silver) from someone and I'm trying to register it for an e-warranty. However, it's asking me for the serial number, and I can't seem to find it anywhere on the box.

Where on the camera can I find the serial number? Is it the number printed at the bottom of the camera, near the hole for a tripod?

(I'm in the Philippines, by the way, if that matters)

Well I checked on mine and it is on the bottom of the camera.

I can view my camera's photos but cant seem to drag or copy /paste from my pc to my camera.Paste option is greyed out.....=(

How are you transfering the pictures?

via USB? or through the memory card directly?

Here's the easiest way: insert the SD card into your computer (hopefully you have a slot).

next, open Windows Explorer. click on the drive where the memory card is in.... then just drag and drop!!

Is it possible to transfer pics from my pc onto the memory card? It won't let me paste.. I'm using a USB port and don't have a memory card slot on my comp.
I do have a memory card reader, when I plug it in it comes up as Removable Device but when I try to open it it just says insert disk?

I use Canon powershot A430 camera. While using the time gap from shot to another is more. How to adjust it?

buy batteries that have 2500 or 2700 on the side.

How much can i sell my Canon Powershot A430 and Nitendo SP for?

The A430 is only a 4 megapixel camera, and there are cameras retailing today for $125 with 6 + megapixels, and yours is used, so I'd say maybe $75 or so.

Nintendo SP's brand new are maybe $80, but they're not really developing any games for it, everything's shifting over to programming for the DS, so maybe $50-60 for that.

I'd ask for maybe $125 for both, but that may change depending on the condition of both.

My Canon Powershot A430 is broken. Can anybody help?

I've had my Canon Powershot A430 for about... 2 years.
It was working one moment and the next it didn't turn on again.
I've tried different types of batteries and I tried cleaning it a little bit, but nothing seems to work.
The LCD screen remains black.

Could anybody help me?

goggle canon and look for recalls on their website. My Canon powershot crapped out much the same way because of a defective part that they replaced free of change. It doesn't matter if there is a warranty or not because they bought the parts from "another manufacturer" and My guess is that they don't want to disclose who that was. BTW: they even paid shipping both ways.

How do you turn self timer on with a Canon Powershot A430?

It's in the Function Menu on the A460, I assume the 430 is similar.
Click the Function Set button
Scroll to DRIVE MODE
Scroll to the timer icons. Mine has 2 sec, 10 sec, and C which is CUSTOM and allows the time delay to be set to whatever I want.
