What is the best Canon Powershot A540 Printer?

I was given a Canon Powershot A540 digital camera for X-mas, but I have no idea what printer is the best for this camera. I want a good quality printer for the camera that will print out crisp, colorful pictures. What is the best option for me?

How do you clean dust from UNDER Canon Powershot A540 LCD Screen?

Is it possible?
My Grandfather is having some issues with dust UNDERNEATH the LCD screen. It's not on the glass itself, but under it. It's rather annoying when looking at it to try to take a picture.
Any suggestions?

Again, it's a Canon Powershot A540 (in case that makes a difference)

Thanks for any help! :)

hey
its possible to clean underneath that but its gonna cost him some money for real

he might wanna think about getting something different...... others suggest using the viewfinder.. you say that's your grandpa? he might just like using the screen cause its easier to see and he prolly got that p&s cause they easy to use. i got one myself and they do take good pix

good luck

No, not unless you want to pay around $80 to remove it. You cannot remove it since it takes special tools and techniques to get to the dust.

You may just want to put up with it, since it is the image file that counts, not the P&S LCD

While when new, you paid nearly enough ($350) to buy an entry level DSLR, it is over two and a half years old ... P&S cameras are usually replaced every three to four years. You may want to start looking for a new one.

Exactly, just transfer the images to the computer to view them.

If the screen bothers him, tell him to use the viewfinder. I have that camera, and it takes good pictures.

Can I use disposable lithium batteries in a Canon Powershot A540 or A700 digital camera?

I am interested in buying a Canon Powershot A540 or A700 particularly because they take AA batteries. The official specifications note the they can use standard alkaline and NiMH batteries but I am particularly interested in using disposable lithium batteries (not rechargable ones).

Will these models work with AA disposable lithiums without damaging the units?

yes u can , but they are very costly, i reccomend you buy some high capacity rechargeable batteries, go on ebay and type in 2700mah, you will see a vast quantity of different brands, they are all ultra high quality and it doesn't matter on the brand, i also reccomend u type in to ebay sprint 15, that is a 15min charger and is cheap on ebay but expensive everywhere else, that should give you a good power supply

Yes they work with any AA size battery. Only life span of battery matters that is why they recommend to use rechargeable ones.

yes- if the camera takes AA then you can use any AA batteries

AA disposable batteries should work, but life is important. With current technology, NiMH rechargeable batteries give best life only next to Li-ion rechargeable batteries. Using disposable batteries with digital camera would be repentable, if camera stops and important picture is missed!

sure you can.

It should. I have a Canon Powershot A540 but I use rechargable batteries. Using the disposable batteries don't give you much life for the camera. I recommend you use rechargable alkaline.

P.S. I bought my camera in April and it came with AA batteries. They weren't rechargeable but they worked for 4 days.

Hope this helps :)

sure

Is the Canon® PowerShot A540 a good digital Camera?

Canon® PowerShot A540 is that a good camera cause I am getting one type of Powershot and I want the best below $279.00! Does it have sound on the video recordings as well?

That's a great camera.

If you want features, though, check out the HP R725 or R727

Kodak is better and cheaper and have sound with video depending on the model you choose.

It is an entry level camera. It rates one of the best camera in entry level range. It records videos with sound.

What should I do My Canon Powershot A540 digital camera doesnt work?

When i turn it on it says lens error and when i close it is it dont close it stays half way open

get it repaired

send a email to cannon

either e-mail canon or call them,i just bought a canon a-630 and needed help, they got back to me in a few hours.if cannot be fixed, try a kodak easyshare, they take great pictures and nice clear videos($190.00- $310.00)depends where you buy from.

If the lens gets bumped when it is extended or gets sand or grit in the zoom gears it will not move in and out properly and give you the message you are getting. The only solution is to disassemble the lens and either re-align everything or clean it out if it has stuff in the gears.

Check with your local camera repair shop for a repair quote. Don't call a camera store where they send stuff out or you will end up paying for their markup on top of what the repair costs.

Trying to upload Pictures from a Canon Powershot A540 and nothing happens. Can someone Help?

I have several different' picture editing softwares, as I have other camera's. I can't get it to even acknowledge that the camera is plugged up. I tried to download drivers for the camera and that was no help.

Buy a card reader and see if that does the trick. You plug the card reader into a USB port on your computer, and then put the card into the card reader. That is the way I do it with mine. I never go through my camera. I never even installed the CD that came with it. By doing it this way, you will save on your batteries, too.

If you get a card reader that accommodates all kinds of cards, you can use it for any other camera you have now or get in the future.

I have the same camera and just love it!

What is the best printer for a Canon Powershot A540?

I will only use the printer for photos and no text, so I want pretty good quality picture prints.
I want the oppurtunity to print smaller size photos as well as full page prints if desired...

All pessimism aside, let's concentrate on the positive.

It makes sense that the best printer for any camera is the one made by the same company... Thus a Canon camera is most likely compatible with a Canon printer.

Next is what is it you need? Just copies of pics to keep around the house or one that is for sale and must be of high quality.

Around the house you get an inexpensive Canon bublejet 3 color plus black. If it's for sale you may want to farm it out... OR invest in a better printer.

Instant gratification is another issue... definitely buy a printer to suit your needs...

Remember the more color cartridges you need... the better the quality.... and you must use quality paper all the time... if contains less lint and will keep your printer cleaner longer...

If you want a good shot turned into a masterpiece... promote it on Answers and someone will enhance it for you... maybe even me if I see it... I am on here often.

Does anyone know anything about the Cannon Powershot A540 Digital Camera ? Is a good starting off camera ?

I'm looking for a decent digital camera that's under $250 I'm just a amateur photographer who would like to do more like maybe make it more than a hobby. I need one with 35 mm manual settings capabilities are needed or one that has everything needs to have JPEG format I'm taking a class on photography. Does anybody know how I can start my own business with very little money and be good at it ? I don't know what all I would need to do this, any help would be appreciated.

If you are going to start a photography business you'll need to spend more than $250 on your equipment, and you'll have to get something better than a point-and-shoot. Also, you'll need higher image quality than jpeg, tiff at least, raw format is better.

Try this camera selector. It lets you select the features that are most important to YOU (including price ranges) and gives you lots of information on models that have the features you want.

The most important thing for starting a business is a good business manager. If you are going to focus on photography you won't have time to do the business end if you want to be successful.
