What are the best settings when creating a video with the Canon Powershot A560 ?

I have been creating videos with my Canon Powershot A560 digital camera but when I zoom in the picture goes blurry so I was wondering what are the best settings to achieve best picture quality
The link in the first answer did not seem to have any information on anything I click on it just kept saying 0 results

The best quality movie settings of the A560 are 640x480 @ 30fps. The most likely reason your movies are blurry is because you have the Digital Zoom function turned ON. Make sure your never use it (for shooting images OR movies), because it will cause blur or pixelation when you zoom in. So, make sure it's always turned off. You can turn it off in the Record Menu.

p.s. the first link is Spam, so ignore it.

How do I get my Canon PowerShot A560 into "macro mode"?

I've looked online to try to find more details about the Canon PowerShot A560's "macro mode". I've found lots of things saying that it has a great macro lens and stuff, but nothing actually telling me how to get to it. I'm confused. Any help?
I'm not the most camera-tech-savvy person in the world, if you couldn't tell.

Turn your settings dial to the "flower" mode - that is your macro mode.

i'm not sure, but how is the camera itself? i'm thinking seriously of getting one, but not reviewed as much as i'd like. does it have good quality? and what's it's worst con? (you can just answer back on one of my opened questions, please)

To enter/exit macro mode, press the tulip button (left of the function set button).

How can I make a Canon Powershot A560 take pictures in black and white except for a certain color?

I'm not sure if my camera has that capability, but if it does, please tell me how!

Your camera cannot take pictures in black and white except for a certain color, but there are editing programs that will do that for you. Check these links for more information.

You can search for other free programs. I used "free photo editing download" to find snapfiles.

No. You can't do that in your camera.

all your answers are in here...http://safemanuals.com/brand-user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/CANON
and no, it can't. that's a LOMO camera

You can't, how does the camera know which bit to leave in colour?!!?

Chris

You cannot do in your camera but in other models SD 750 SD1100IS , SD1000 you can do this by color accent mode in other cameras
It is in the menu ( with pic of coloring tube)

But try my colors mode in your camera -
Page 52 in your manual ( from the link)

Even in cameras that CAN do it, it is a bad idea.
Read this first, before you run out to buy a new camera:

About the color accent option: it seems to be a current fad that people are getting excited about.
The camera keeps one color and turns everything else black and white.

I would never use such a feature for the following reasons:

• You are very limited in what you can do.
• The function isn't always reliable or accurate. The camera's idea of "red" might be different to yours. It will often include/exclude areas that don't want to be included/excluded.
• Imagine if you just happened to take your best photo ever, but instead of having a real color photo, you only have some partial b&w thing that might look totally awful. You'd kick yourself.
• If you do the "Selective or Partial Desaturation" (as it is called correctly) in post processing, you have much more control over it, and will get a way better result. Plus you can keep your original color version, too.

This also applies to any color effects done in camera like b&w or sepia - you're better off NOT to.

If you don't have your own image editor, you can go to www.picnik.com and use their effects menu which makes it very easy.

By the way - have you ever tried reading your manual?

My Canon Powershot A560 is being retarded and i need help?

everytime i put brand new batteries in it, after 2 minutes of it being on then it turns of and says (battery low) wtf. so i went to the store and bought the batteries that are made to last long in digital cameras and it did the same thing all the other batteries have done. what do i do. how can fix this?
ummm can someone help?

Do you mean you tried the Energizer Lithium batteries? If so, then you definitely have a camera problem. I would suggest you call Canon tech / customer service and discuss the problem with them. It is certainly not normal behavior.

steve

EDIT
Don't waste your money on rechargeable batteries now. The Lithiums give great service. If they did not work for you, then there is a problem with your camera.

you can only use rechargeable batteries in digital cameras
and expect them to last

How do I create a movie with my Canon Powershot A560 ?

I don't know what settings I need or what buttons to press in order to create a movie.

Does anyone know what I need to do?

Find the SCN (scene) mode and select the icon that shows a video camera. Once there, when you press the shooter you will start recording video and when you press it again it stops and saves what you just taped. Good luck!

How do you download pictures from a powershot A560 to computer?

I just brought a digital camera..... but can't upload picutures from the camera to the computer!

The way I see it, you should have gotten software with it in the form of a disc. Insert dics into computer, connect camera to computer with USB cable. That's it.

How can I eliminate motion blur with a Canon Powershot A560?

Pretty much what the title says. I have a terrible time trying to get a clear picture of my godchild, nieces and nephews when they're moving about normally as any kid does.

Use a higher shutter speed of around 1/250 or higher. This will require you to use either a higher ISO speed, or a faster aperture. High ISO speeds will give you grainy images, though. To solve this, use the fast shutter speed with a flash. This will allow you to keep the ISO low.

Can a Canon PowerShot A560 be used as a webcam online?

Just wondering. It'd be cool if I could use it on Stickam or Yahoo Messenger and the like as a webcam.

Researched this myself, and yes it's possible, but definitely not worth the trouble. A digital camera is way overkill as a webcam. Instead, here's a VERY cheap, yet very good webcam. Just make sure you download/update its drivers as the user reviews state (that's why it's so cheap):

How can I crop/edit images in my Canon Powershot A560 digital camera, without transferring them to computer?

some cameras actually let you do some minor editing, but i'm afraid that one doesn't.

What kind of memory card can I use with the Canon PowerShot A560?

I got that camera, thanks to the people that answered that question.

I need an actual memory card. What are yalls recommendations? Something less than $40, preferably.

Can any memory card go with any camera? Do I need a specific type for mine?

I believe that any card can go, but when you are buying a card, you should check what cameras it is compatible with. For example:

SanDisk Standard SD Memory Card 2GB for Canon PowerShot G7 SD900 SD800 SD700 A710 A700
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Standard-Memory-Canon-PowerShot/dp/B000VR4DVE/ref=pd_bbs_3/103-3219376-2533406?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1191457993&sr=1-3

something like that would fit a TON of pictures. That was a 2GB...I have a 256Mb and it can fit close to 300 pictures on my Kodak (with great resolution). However, since you are uploading them to your computer, presumably, then why not just go for something a tad smaller?

However, here is something that I looked up just now and found on Amazon. Its a whole package for 20 dollars!
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00065ANYC/sr/ref=pd_cp_p_2/103-3219376-2533406?ie=UTF8&qid=1191458123&sr=1-2&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_r=0ZY4YXPN02KY565GRMAT&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=250314601&pf_rd_i=B0007YZ45A

You can scroll down to the section of "customers that looked at this also looked at or bought..." section and look at the other cards.
