How much should I sale a Cannon Powershot A85?
It is 4.0 mega pixels.
11x Optical and Digital zoom combined.
Please I want to try to sale it for more than $90. Is that too much. I don't know anything. Also is there a place where you can buy adult baby clothes.
It's quite old...
You'll probably get, at max, $50-65. I wouldn't buy it...you can get, for less than $90, more than 8MP cameras that are new. It's worth a try, though.
There is something wrong with my Canon Powershot a85.?
My Canon Powershot a85 is acting weird. It won't take pictures right. They come out very destored and they sometimes do not show up on the lil screen after I take them! What is possibly wrong? I know for a fact that I didnt drop it because I almost droped my other one.
They didn't have the parts to repair it so they sent me a new S5is.
It is under warranty regardless when you bought it. Contact Canon to have it repaired or replaced.

It has come to our attention that the vendor-supplied CCD image sensor used in certain Canon digital cameras and digital video camcorders may cause the following malfunction: When the product is used in recording or playback mode, the LCD screen and/or electronic viewfinder may exhibit either a distorted image or no image at all. While reports of this malfunction have been rare in the United States, we have determined that it may occur if the product is exposed to hot and humid environments.
Affected products:
- Camcorders: ZR60, ZR65 MC, ZR70 MC, ZR80, ZR85, ZR90, ELURA 40 MC, ELURA 50
- Digital Cameras A60, A70, A75, A300, A310, S230, SD100, SD110, A40(*), A80(*), A85(*), A95(*), S1 IS(*), S60(*), S200(*), S330(*), S400(*), S410(*), S500(*)
*Models added as of Oct.31, 2006
Have the camera's serial number ready when you call them.
Canon Powershot A85 digital camera locks up and gives code E18. What does that mean?
It's the dreaded, Canon 'E18' lens error message. It usually occurs when there is some damage to the lens mechanism caused by restricting the lens from extending or if you get sand or grit in the lens. Or, this error has been known to occur for no reason whatsoever (according to some owners).
Check out the link below for information on the E18 error. It even has instructions on trying to repair the lens error by youself.
If you do try it (with no success), then your best option is to buy a new camera, because the A85 (released in 2004) is now quite outdated and wouldn't be worth repairing.
good luck...

how do u get pictures from powershot A85 camera onto the computer?
For A85 all you have to do is plugin the USB cable into the camera and connect the camera to Computer by using the port. If you are using windows XP, the MS Scanner and camera wizard will start which will let you import all your pictures.
The compact flash card of the camera will also show as a removable drive in My Computer, if the scanner and camera wizard does not pop up, just go to My computer, look for the removable drive that wasnt their before and manually copy the pictures from the camera to the computer.
For other windows you might have to go online and download drivers for the camera, or use the software that came with the camera ( if any)
Camera Canon Powershot A85?
Hi,
I have a camera Canon Powershot A85, and for the past few weeks I have problems with the photos. They have a sweep effect and are pink. I'd like to know if this happens to someone else and if you know how to fix this. It only happens when I take pictures, my videos look perfectly fine.
Here's a link so you could see how the photos appear.

* I can see perfectly through the LCD monitor, the colors are perfect before I take the picture....
sorry the link is broken, this one works:

or try this one:

Wow, those are some funky images. When I see this kind of problem on a camera in our shop, it usually means your CCD is bad and needs to be replaced. The good news for you is that Canon has a service advisory on your model camera and will fix it for free. Now, the service advisory ONLY covers the replacement of the CCD, so if there are any other problems with the camera, they may estimate it for you.
Now, I can't guarantee that what you are experiencing is covered under the advisory. Your LCD shows the colors perfectly, which tends to not happen when the CCD is bad. Usually when the CCD is bad, the image on your LCD is the same as what you get when the picture is taken. So I'm not entirely sure that your camera is going to be something covered under the service advisory. I would still recommend sending it to Canon, since they will estimate it for free if that is necessary.
Besides, to get it repaired under the service advisory, you MUST send it to Canon only. No other repair center can do this for you, for free. Here is a quick link detailing the advisory and what you need to do to get it repaired:

I don't know what repair times are for them right now, my experience is that it's around 2 weeks...maybe a little more. I hope this helps!

not even an attempt at an answer?
:(
Are you talking about saving them directly to the computer or reading the card without having to take it out. I'll assume you mean the first because the second you just plug the camera up to the computer and put the camera in play mode to read the pictures.
I'm guessing you didn't get the CD that would normally come with it. On it is a program called ZoomBrowser. ZoomBrowser has a RemoteCapture task.
Another alternative is to download the Canon SDK and find the sample program called RELCTRL. This is mainly for those that are familiar with C++, but the program is already compiled, so you can download the SDK just for this application.

My canon powershot A85 memory card pin is bent?
My ,memory card is not working
You will need to take the camera in for repair.
I hope you didn't loan it to someone and they attempted to put the card in incorrectly.
Inserting cards carefully and keeping fingers away from the contacts are two rules that will keep your camera working well for many years.
How do you get the self timer on, using the Canon PowerShot A620 camera, or the Canon A85 camera?
You know, like the self timer, so you don't have to hold the camera when taking the photo?
I hate holding the camera when im taking pictures for bebo / myspace / photobucket.
PLEASE GIVE ME ANSWERS!!
I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET THE SELF TIMER ON,
SO I CAN GET READY FOR A PHOTO AT A DISTANCE!!
xxxxxxx PLEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!!!
I have the Canon PowerShot A620, (I LOVE this camera!), and here's how you use the self-timer:
When at the shooting mode: press the FUNC SET button.
-using the toggle dial, highlight the rectangle box. This is the Drive Mode.
-In the Drive Mode, then you select, (using the toggle dial again), how much time you want to elapse before the shutter will activate to take the photo. 10 sec., or 2 sec., or you can "C"ustomize.
In Customize, you can have the camera take successive (more than one) shots every (you select), whatever number of seconds.
Once you've selected the desired time/seconds, press the FUNC SET button again. You should be able to see on your display screen how many seconds you have set the self-timer. Now press the shutter button and get into the shot!
When you're done using the self-timer, make sure you go back to the Drive Mode to set it back to the single rectangle box to disengage the self-timer.
This should do the trick! :-)
