my long distance friends and family. So I shot it on a digital camera Canon Powershot S40. Picture is rather fuzzy and the visuals are extremely ...

Where can I find software for Canon Powershot S40 camera?
We lost the software CD that came with our Canon Powershot S40 digital camera - and also changed PC at home. Now we cannot download the pictures from the SD card in the camemra. Help! Thanks!!
You generally don't need the software to upload images to your computer (as long as you use a card reader). Your computer should recognize the card reader as a removable drive and you can then copy & paste (or drag & drop) all images over to your computer.
However, you can download everything you want (including the User Guide) from Canon.com.
Just click on the link below...
cannot read cannon powershot s40 on macbook.?
when i plug in my powershot s40 into my macbook nothing detects. i checked the finder and utilities and still doesnt show up.
any ideas?
After you connect the camera you need to turn on in review mode. You can also try Image Capture that's in your Applications folder if you had turned it on to review mode when you connected it.
Canon PowerShot S40?
I just got a new Canon PowerShot S40 for a good price. I am not a professional photographer (obviously), so I don't need a huge megapixel, but something I can use to get video and get pictures of pretty sunsets and my cat. I'm currently waiting on it in the mail and I am very excited to get it! I've heard some good reviews on this camera.
For those who have used this camera...
1. What do you think of image quality?
2. What do you think of video quality?
3. What do you think of sound quality?
4. Favorite features?
5. Things you don't like?
6. How easy is it to use?
7. How well does it take pictures at night and what exactly can/can't you see with night photos? I'd love to take a pic of the moon and stars over my lake.
Thank you all!
PG-13: Thank you! I've already been there, though. :)
I'd like to hear personal reviews from people since I've read reviews online. Sometimes, personal reviews from everyday people are great. Also, how well does it take video in low light situations? I'd like to get hurricane footage.
I don't own that specific model but, I do have a Canon Digital camera. Well built, super images.Went through 5 other digital camewra before deciding on my Canon.Canon puts out fine products at every price range. Included a review on the camera you bought and it looks like a winner.Haven't seen a bad review yet.
for some reason I am not satisfated with the shots I'm takeing with stylus720sw(new) as with powershot s40(old
olimpus stylus 720sw is new(7.1megapixep), the cannon powershot s40 is 5years old(4.0 megapixel)
I don't know how to reconcile this with the huge difference in pixel count, but the Olympus sensor is about half the size of the Canon's. The Canon lens is also about a full stop faster. This means it will take a picture in half as much light as the Olympus.
I'm sure batteries lasted a lot longer in your Canon, as well, because you were not forced to use the LCD all the time.
Isn't hindsight grand?
Canon s40 camera. How de we transfer the photos to our PC?
My friend gave me a canon powershot s40, and doesn't have any idea how to transfer the photos to my PC without the driver.. please help
Without driver??? No problems...
Buy a card reader which will only cost you £10, you don't need a driver for a card reader, it's plug and play. Just leave it connected to the computer. Then insert the memory card into the card reader and your computer will recognise the card, you can just copy and paste the photos whereever you want on your computer.
