I have that camera, and it's never happened to me. Have you looked in the manual? If there is nothing there, try charging it for a few days and leaving it off without the battery for a while. If that doesn't work then you should buy a new battery, or take it to a camera store or like best buy or wherever you bought it from.

-- Just a thought, are you pushing the power button for a long time? if you are just push it once. If you are just quickly pushing it, hold it down.

today my friend dropped my camera and broke the screen and lens. but what im wondering is where i can buy just the body part? the actual camera part. not the battery and memory card.

Try eBay. The sd450 is outdated and may be hard to find.

You can also get the full package on amazon but you're better off getting a used one from eBay.

What should I do?! The camera turns on, but the image is really blurry and it turns of after a while. I can still view all the photos I took before the camera fell down. Do they sell separate lenses in stores or online for my particular camera. Please help! Prom's coming up soon, and I'd really life for my camera to be working by then. PLEASEEEEE!

It sounds like your camera is broken The warranty doesn't cover this. You could call Canon and see how much it would cost to get it fixed, but you might be better off just buying a new camera.

I was in a hurry when i first answered this but I did research your camera model (canon had stopped manufacture of this model) then and found out that the lens of your digital camera is not interchangeable... S and Sx series of Canon have adapters and dSLRS of course are lens interchageable but your camera model isn't, thus the short answer... NONE...

I found a canon powershot sd-450 digital camera in the parking lot. The lcd screen is damaged but does light up to a white color and black where it is damaged. It still takes excellent pictures, which are better than my current digital camera, so I'd like to keep it. Is it possible to get it repaired and if so.... how much would that cost? How hard is it to do myself?

Nearly impossible. Would probably cost at least 100, more likely US$150 if anyone is willing to do it. Since it shoots pictures, eBay is probably a good way to unload it and put the money towards a better (and working) camera for you.

i have a usb cord connector, and am trying to find if there is some sort of soft ware i can down load or any thing i can do to get this to act as a web cam?

No you can't use it as a webcam.
The output from the camera via that cable is from the memory card reader, not from the camera itself.
