Horry County announces precinct changes for GOP Primary WPDE
Horry County Registration and Elections announced Thursday that it had to make three temporary precinct changes due to the January 21st SCGOP Presidential Primary being held on a Saturday.
The precinct changes for the January 21st primary are only for this election.
The changes are:
Coastal Carolina Precinct (Christ Community Church) will vote at Waccamaw Elementary School, 251 Claridy Road, Conway, SC 29526
North Conway #1 Precinct (Collins Park) will vote at Homewood Elementary School, 2711 N. Highway 701, Conway, SC 29526
Burgess #2 Precinct (Burgess Community Center) will vote at St. James Middle School, 9775 St. James Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588
Polls will open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and registered voters waiting in line at 7 p.m. will still be allowed to vote. Registered voters will be required to show any one of three forms of identification in order to vote. Voters must show a voter's registration card, driver's license, or a picture ID issued from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
You can vote in the Republican primary no matter what party with which you are affiliated.
If you were not registered to vote by Wednesday, December 21st, you will not be allowed to vote in the January 21st primary.

Those who qualify to vote absentee may cast a ballot until January 20th.
Absentee voting is underway, and the last day to vote absentee in the Horry County Registration and Elections Office is January 20, 2012. The Horry County Registration and Elections Office is located at 1515 4th Avenue in Conway. You can see requirements and procedures for absentee voting below. Keep in mind that there is no early voting in South Carolina.
Horry County voters unsure of their voting location should call (843) 915-5440 or log onto the State Election Commission website. (www.scvotes.org)
Curbside voting is also available for any voter who cannot enter the polling place because of a physical handicap or aged 65 or older. They may vote outside of the polling place in their car.
Persons qualified to vote by absentee ballot:
Persons who will be on vacation outside their county of residence on Election Day
Members of the Uniformed Services or Merchant Marine, and their spouses and dependents residing with them
Persons who, for reasons of employment, will not be able to vote on election day
Physically disabled persons
Persons sixty-five years of age or older
Persons serving as a juror in state or federal court on Election Day
Persons admitted to the hospital as emergency patients on day of election or within a four-day period before the election
Persons with a death or funeral in the family within three days before the election

How reliable is Gateway"s MX 6440 Laptop?
I have the MX6440....I bought it from Best Buy on sale not long ago. I am a 4 computer household and this is my 2nd laptop.
If you are looking for an affordable and small frame, then this may be a good model for you. If you are looking for fast, top of the line, quality construction, you will probably want to look on.
I use a Dell Inspiron 1200 along side the Gateway 6440 and the Dell is much faster and a better made product...albeit much larger.
There's a reason you can buy the MX 6440 at incredible pricing. And while it's an OK product, you might want to do some comparing first.
How can I access an application from behind a firewall where only port 80 is open?
I have an active x application that connects to a server and uses 3 ports to do so, say 4440, 5440 and 6440. I am behind a firewall and only port 80 http is open. Is there an application or service or anything I can do to be able to access the server application thru port 80? I have access to the client PC and the server but not the firewall (company)
Unfortunetly no, there is no way to access those ports through a firewall that only allows traffic on port 80. If you control the firewall you can open those ports up, but that might make you vulnerable. It sounds, however, like you don't have control over the firewall, in which case I would just leave sleeping dogs lie.

Why is the Intel Core 2 Duo e6550 cheaper than the e6400?

The 6550 faster clock, faster front side bus and double the onboard cache, so why does it cost significantly less than the 6440? Is there something wrong with the 6550? Its pricing is generally out of whack with the rest of the processor line.
Yes, it is considerably cheaper than the E6600 also, which has a slightly higher clock speed (but slower fsb). I have the E6550, good value, my machine is very smooth. If you can afford a few more dollars, get the E6750. It's not that much more expensive and it is somewhat faster.

My face has been hurting since I shaved. Today I woke up with white dots on my face. They hurt! Help?
So I shaved on Saturday (nothing unusual there) except on Saturday night my face started hurting a little bit when I touched it. This was definitely the case yesterday, and today when I woke up and looked in the mirror, I noticed congregations of white dots at places such as under my chin. Touching these especially hurts. My mom says it looks like an infection but I have tried doing research on the Internet to no avail. I'm supposed to see a doctor but they don't have any open spots any time soon, thus I'm asking if anyone has ever heard of what I'm describing. Is it an infection? If it is, how bad is it? What does it do? What's it called?

sounds like folliclitis, (don't know if the spelling is correct). which would be an infection in the hair follicles.
i had it once on my legs they hurt and kinda look like pimples with white heads but are extremely sore to touch.
suggestion..don't try to pop them, it will spread.
the doctor will probably give you an antibiotic, wash your face with soap and water well everyday and don't try to shave until they go away.
