Celldex Therapeutics Presents Novel Preclinical Data on CDX-1127 at the ... MarketWatch (press release)

Today announced that new preclinical data on its therapeutic antibody program, CDX-1127, was presented in a poster presentation at the 2011 American Society of Hematology (ASH) 53rd Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA. The presentation (poster #2861), entitled "Development of a Human Anti-CD27 Antibody with Efficacy in Lymphoma and Leukemia Models by Two Distinct Mechanisms," describes proof of concept studies for CDX-1127 in preclinical models of lymphoma. CDX-1127 is a novel therapeutic antibody candidate that is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 dose escalation clinical trial as a treatment for patients with hematologic malignancies and selected solid tumors.

CDX-1127 is a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting CD27, a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily with a critical role in the balance between immunity and tolerance. Agonist anti-CD27 antibodies have been shown to effectively activate immune cells to control or eliminate lymphomas in mouse models. CD27 is also expressed at high levels on several types of B and T cell malignancies and can also function as a target for direct activity by anti-CD27 antibodies with effector function.

"Based on a growing body of information, we believe the CD27 pathway is a unique opportunity for intervention with an appropriate agonist antibody," said Tibor Keler, Ph.D., Celldex's Chief Scientific Officer. "The preclinical data provide great encouragement for CDX-1127 in lymphomas and selected solid tumor indications and in combination with other therapies."

In this presentation, CDX-1127 displayed both mechanisms of action in demonstrating the ability to activate immune cells and directly target CD27 on the cell surface of the tumor, with the following key findings:

-- CDX-1127 is a potent agonist of CD27 when combined with T cell receptor stimulation;

-- CDX-1127 mediates significant anti-tumor efficacy when tested in several models of human lymphoblastic tumors grown in immune-deficient mice (effector function);

-- CDX-1127 mediates significant anti-tumor efficacy in immune-competent mouse models of murine lymphoma (immune activation function);

-- CDX-1127 demonstrated a good safety profile in preclinical safety.

"This is a very exciting program for Celldex, as the preclinical data suggest that CDX-1127 may represent two therapeutic strategies in one - both immune activation and direct tumor targeting depending on the indication," said Tom Davis, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of Celldex Therapeutics. "Either approach alone has generated successful drugs."

About CDX-1127

CDX-1127 is a human monoclonal antibody program targeting CD27, a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. CD27 is a critical molecule in the activation pathway of lymphocytes. It acts downstream from CD40 and may provide a novel way to regulate the immune responses. CD27 is a co-stimulatory molecule on T cells and is over-expressed in certain lymphomas and leukemias. CDX-1127 has two mechanisms of action: immune activation and effector function. Previously published data by Professor Martin Glennie, Ph.D., Director of Cancer Sciences, Tenovus Research Laboratory, University of Southampton, UK, has demonstrated that targeting CD27 with monoclonal antibodies in mice is highly effective at promoting anti-cancer immunity. Celldex presented more recent preclinical in vitro and animal data with CDX-1127 at the 2011 American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 101st Annual Meeting demonstrating that targeting CD27 receptors with CDX-1127 antibodies can increase the numbers of responding T cells and can directly impact tumor cells expressing CD27.

How do I get my Kodak EasyShare CD40 to stop taking multiple pictures at once?

Every time I try to take a single picture, it's as if the camera is in burst mode. I looked everywhere and I'm not sure if this camera even _has_ a burst mode.

Yeah, it sounds like it is in continuous mode. I am not familiar with that camera, but in most all cases, this will be referred to as DRIVE mode. The particular mode is usually shown as a symbol. Single shot will have one rectangle showing. Burst, or continuous, mode will have what looks like a staggered stack of rectangles. This icon should be showing up on your LCD readout somewhere.

So look for the DRIVE option in the menus or on a button and see if you can select the single mode.

Do you not have your owners manual? It will certainly tell you in there how to adjust it.

how much is a kodak easyshare cd40 worth?

I have the original box and everything that came with it. camera works fine. a few scratches

If you got $20 for it, I think you'd be lucky. Check closed listings on eBay to see that they've sold for recently.

how do I retrieve pictures that was accidentally deleted on my Kodak digital camera, CD40 model?

If you haven't taken any other pictures on the same memory card, you can use some of these programs.
It's best if you use a USB memory card reader during the recovery process.

Kodak EasyShare CD40 wrong firmware?

My CD40 camera has the firmware for CD310 Digital Camera. How can I correct this? The automatic update from EasyShare Software simply assumes that this is a CD310 has current firmware that does not need updating.

Thanks for the quick answer. I just want to make sure:

1. I have the wrong firmware on my camera. I originally had a CD40 camera with the proper CD40 firmware and feel the camera worked better than what I have now: a CD40 camera with wrong CD310 firmware.
2. Kodak uses EasyShare software to update the firmware, but it only sees that the CD310 firmware is up to date. I can not tell it to go get the CD40 firmware and install it.

I need to replace the CD310 firmware that is incorrectly on the camera with the proper CD40 firmware.
Can picasa help me do that?

Thanks.

Usw picassa2 instead,Free to download.

my damn digital camera. [kodak easyshare CD40]?

alright, i bought this camera 2 years ago.
it used to be a really good camera.
but now, it takes pictures by itsself, shuts off when it wants too, and doesnt let me scroll through the pictures, it also does that by its self, then flashes for a picture.
i asked kodak if they could fix it, but they said it would cost 75$, which as a kid ; i dont have.
any ways this could possibly be fixed?

As a kid, you shouldn't be using language like that either. (Or adult)

Have you tried replacing the batteries? Then take the batteries out and leave them out for a day or two. Sometimes that fixes things. If not, I would use the $75 to put toward a new camera. P&S digicams have improved quite a bit in the last couple of years.

can kodak easyshare CD40 be used as a webcam? if yes, how?

Your cam has the A/V output, so you can buy a AV->USB adapter and a webcam software, for example http://www.willingsoftware.com

Transferring pictures from my digital camera?

I have a Kodak Easy Share CD40 camera and it's the first time I am trying to transfer pictures from my memory card.I usually only transfer from my internal memory.I have taken pictures from both the internal memory and my memory card,I am only getting sixteen pictures transferred from a total of 34 pictures,is there a device I need to print from my memory card also.

No, you don't need anything special. When you hook your camera up to your computer, it will transfer all of the pictures on the camera over. Both the ones on a mem card and those in internal memory.

How do you put pictures back on your camera?

I have a Kodak Easyshare CD40.

Not all cameras are conducive to receiving pictures from the computer to the camera's media card.

If you can do it, you need to locate and open the folder that holds the pictures. Next, select the pictures to be reloaded back to the camera. Now click the EDIT menu and select 'copy to folder' or 'move to folder' whichever is appropriate.
Navigate to the camera's media card listed under My Computer then click the copy or move button.

Even if this operation is successful, the camera may not display the photos on the LCD screen. Again, depending on the make & model of the camera, some cameras will not display the pictures on the memory card unless they are in the native format of the camera. In other words ... they have the original names and data. If the pictures were renamed from "DSCF_01234.JPG" to "Grandma's Birthday01.JPG" they may be on the card, but not show on the screen.

Take the card to any WalMart or drug store kiosk and more than likely they'll appear again.

What do you think about wearing this to a Army ball?I want to be different.?

On metformin and late period?

I have completely missed my period, currently on CD47. I have been taking metformin for 5 months and my average period length has been 36 days with the maximum 42. I was told that metformin can make your period late but I thought that it was supposed to regulate it. Has anyone ever heard that it could make it late? or had an personal experience?

I have already taken a HPT on CD40 it was negative.

I am on metformin as well and I have not had any late periods. In fact, they are on time every month, almost down to the hour. It doesn't make your period late, it regulates it. I have been on Metformin for quite some time as well and it has never made it late. Good luck to you!
