Why won't my Kodak easyshare C813 camera record videos longer than a few seconds?

ok so i got my kodak easyshare c813 fer xmas but i cant get it to make videos longer than 27 secs. any help would be great. thnx a million.

Check to make sure you have a memory card in the camera. Internal memory doesn't hold much. If you have a memory card, then you may need to clear it off by downloading some of the pictures and video to your computer. If that still doesn't help you may want to call Kodak and ask them about it. Also, online troubleshooting can be very helpful. Search for people that have had the same problem and see how they resolved it. Good luck!

check you have excellent batteries as well as a lage memory card and are not trying to record video on the internal memory

My wife gave my 6 year old that camera for Christmas. After reading the manual it says you can only shoot up to 30 sec. of video at one time. The reason for this is that the sensor will start to overheat if you keep shooting video. Most cameras wont allow you to shoot video for long periods of time. Though many are longer than 30 seconds. If you want to shoot lots of video buy a camcorder.

How can I transfer pictures from Kodak Easyshare C813 using the USB?

I have the Kodak Easyshare software installed but I dont like it and thought I could use the camera as a mass storage device and just transfer them via the USB, but I cant, but I can download them to the software. Can someone please help me? I appreciate it.

Don't bother with it, the better method is to use a USB card reader.

You will have to buy a 4 NiNH AA kit with a charger. Try to find one with at least a 2500 mAh rating. They cost about $30

I just got it. and i'm lost. i want to choose the video but i only see pictures come up as options.

Simple way is to remove memory card from camera and insert into the card slot of your computer. Use Windows Explorer to find the video then copy and paste on to your hard drive.

I just bought a 8.2mp Kodak EasyShare C813 and it doesnt have nearly enough internal memory. I am going to buy either a 1 or 2gb memory card but I am unsure of what brand to buy. Can somebody please give me a suggestion of a brand that is fairly cheap?

I have had excellent results with SanDisk. Do not buy from shady sources that may have counterfeits instead of the genuine article.

I know I can charge it from the dock, and I do charge it from the dock, but am I able to charge it from the USB port while it's hooked up to the computer? I know I can transfer pictures while it's hooked up like that, but will it also charge my camera? It's the "Kodak EasyShare C813 (8.2 mega pixel)"
