How can I upload pictures from a Kodak easyshare M893 - without using the easyshare softwarE?
I hate the easyshare software and I just want to import them normally, how can I do this?
When you plug your camera in, do you see a new drive appear in the list of external drives? You should be able to just click on that and get the images off with copy/cut.
Alternatively, get an external card reader that plugs into a USB port on your computer. Take the card out of the camera, put it into that, and it's an external storage device, too.
or you can buy a memory card reader at like walmart or something and you copy and paste them into the folders you want, but this requires some memory (mine didn't work all the time on my old computer because it didnt have a lot of memory)
How do I upload the pictures from my Kodak EasyShare M893 software into a folder on desktop for easy access?
I have the software from the camera installed on my computer and that part is pretty self explanatory but I have NO IDEA on how to access those pictures uploaded to the program from outside sources ex. myspace, facebook, photobucket, etc. Help?
and then click them and drag them to an open folder or desktop.
i just recently got a kodak easyshare M893 IS. how do you know when the battery is done charging?
the instructions booklet says that it is done charging in 3 hours, or whenever the little charging late goes off. it has been 3 hours already. shouldn't it be done charging by now?
We have a Kodak Easyshare C763.
We know it's done charging when the little light on the charger turns from red to green...and it's been at least 3 hours.
Kodak EasyShare M893 8.1 digital camera video recorder?
Kodak EasyShare M893 8.1 megapixel digital camera
does that camera have a time limit to how long you can take a video?
it depends how much memory you have. Kodaks use SD memory cards, so find out how big of a card your cam will support, [maybe 2gig or 4 gig]. it also depends how high of quality the camcorder feature records at. you sould be able to get at least 30 min out of a 2 gig though
how do i get to the self timer on my Kodak Easyshare M893 camera? does it even have one?
The round dial on the back with the OK in the middle, touch the down arrow until the desired icon appears in the screen (which look like a clock with a 2 or a 10) you can have a 2sec or 10sec delay. I found the info in the online user manual at this link :

Olympus FE-20 vs. Kodak Easyshare m893?
I want to get a camera on Black Friday, and it has to be $100 or less. After an hour of searching Black Friday deals online I've shortened my choices to these two cameras.
Of course, I'm no professional photographer, so I don't know much about cameras. I'm just going off reviews from this site:
http://www.cameras.co.uk/
What I actually need is a camera that can take good pics, even when I'm moving. It also needs to be able to take decent videos of non-moving or slow moving objects. I don't think that's too much to ask for.
If anyone has suggestions for better cameras then I would GREATLY appreciate it. Plus, you'll get 10 points.
Both Cameras have:
- 8 MP
- 3x Optical Zoom
- Both are $100 (on Black Friday sale)
Kodak has:
- Image stabilization
- 2.7" LCD
- Got a 79/100 on website
Olympus has:
- 2.5" LCD and no stabilization
- Got 81/100
Both are good ! however Olympus is make there own lens for the pass 40 years.Kodak is buying lens from other lens maker ! even not like Sony or Panasonic their buy very good German make lens for their camera. If you need stabilization , Konica-Minota is very good for this , their also good in lens ( own make ), Koreca-Yashica also good in image stabilization !Buying a camera is use for next few years even you are not professional, just because you are not professional ,you need a good lens for you cameras !!
I just bought a new Kodak easyshare camera, do I need to upload the new software or just keep the old?
I just bought a new Kodak easyshare camera and I have an old one. The one is a Z760 and the new one is a M893. Do I need to upload the software that came with the new camera to upload the pictures? Will uploading the new software erace all my old pictures from the old software?
It's up to you.
If you want, you can keep using your old version of EasyShare software.
Or if you prefer, grab the latest version from Kodak's website. Every so often, they'll add a new feature. It's not worth updating for every single version, but after a few years the improvements do add up.
Updating (or even deleting) your EasyShare software will NOT delete your photographs.
Which camera is best out of these four choices?
I was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me which of these four cameras was the best overall?
1. Nikon Coolpix S210
2. Kodak Easyshare M893 IS
3. Casio Exilim EX-Z80
4. Fujiflim FinePix Z20.
Suggestions, reviews, ratings, and opinions are welcomed.
First of all I will start by saying that I am SO into photography and I recently went through the battle of the camera's to find the right one for me. My next investment is a Nikon D40 which is a digital SLR (one with a detachable lens) Nikon is an awesome brand of camera because they specialize in them. Kodak, Casio, and Fujifilm make all sorts of different products so they do not always focus on their cameras. Nikon has made small changes here and there to perfect their cameras. Good luck and I would go with the Nikon Coolpix S210. Oh and you can also google and find pictures that were taken with each camera and see which one you like the best.
How many pictures wil my camera hold with a 1 GB memory card?
I have a Kodak EasyShare M893 IS digital camera
It's 8.1 megapixel
