Is it possible to use rechargeable batteries on a camera such as the Kodak EasyShare V530?
thinking of buying this camera (Kodak EasyShare V530).
However, im concerned about its battery life.
does anyone know if its possible to use recharable batteries for it if you already own a recharger?
The Kodak V530 uses a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, which is supplied....and is not compatible with the charger you already own. It has a very short battery life of only about 120 shots...so you would have to make sure that you charge the battery regularly.
From a review of the V530...
"A rechargeable Lithium ion battery powers the V530. The battery is recharged in approximately 3 hours using the AC Adapter included with the camera either by plugging the adapter directly into the camera or, if the camera was purchased in the package that includes the Photo Frame Dock 2, by plugging the adapter into the dock and placing the camera on it."
If you are concerned about battery life, then maybe you should look at a camera that uses AA size batteries...and then you can buy rechargeable NiMH (2700mAh) and charger. Some of these cameras can get up to 500 shots or so with these type of batteries.
good luck...
From the site I looked at:
"The Kodak EasyShare V530 comes with a KLIC-7002 rechargeable lithium-ion battery that slides into the bottom of the camera. "
How do I convert videos to run on my Kodak EasyShare v530?
I have a 2gb SanDisk memory stick, and for the life of me I can not figure out how to convert videos to the same format the camera uses. I know it uses quicktime format with an mpeg-4 video codec, but even when I convert it like that, it still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.
picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.
it can upload/download your camera to your PC.
It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video clips.
It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
Download it free in here:

Where I can get an advanced repair guide with part numbers and descriptions for a Kodak Easyshare V530?
I have a Kodak Easyshare v530. I am more than capable of taking it apart and repairing one piece (to be more specific a sensor) but I need to know where to get this sensor or the part number for it and would love to just have the ENTIRE advanced repair guide with full internal diagrams.
You might try the websites below. Maybe you can find what you need through one of them.
Best wishes.
In any case, technology is moving so fast that cameras are out of date before they're on the shelves.
My Kodak Easyshare V530 wont format any memory card... What should i do?
I have already tried mulitple brands of cards as well as everything from 256-2g plus i updated firmware... any suggestions will be helpful
You can usually use a card in a camera without formating it. Have you tried this yet?
If you need to format it you can get a card reader for you computer and format it through that. Just right click on the card and format should be one of the options.
If you think something is wrong with your camera and it's still under warranty I would try to get it fixed. Contact Kodak to see what your options are.

Kodak EasyShare V530 as webcam?
I just recieved a V530 a few days ago and I'd just like to ask if I could use it as a webcam. I asked because I hate my Logitech Web Camera.

Which is better? the kodak easyshare v530 or the kodak easyshare LS755??
those are my two options right now for choosing a digital camera.. so far i've noticed both are 5 megapixels, has audio, still pics, the lcd thing going on and pretty much the same price wise.. so can anyone tell me what the main differences are? and which one is better? please don't refer me to any sites i can look at, tried that, i still think they are both pretty similar.. thanks!... :)
