Kodak Easyshare v603 camera turns off when I try to use optical zoom?
I've had my Kodak Easyshare v603 since about March. It has worked fine until recently when I tried using my optical zoom to zoom in on a subject and my camera turned off (I'd used optical zoom many times before and it worked fine). I've tried several times to use the optical zoom since then and my camera continues to shut off. I can zoom in on pictures I've already taken, however I cannot zoom in on a subject while trying to take a picture.
I've tried messing with all the PowerSave settings, charged the camera, and moved all pictures to my computer, however there's been no change.
Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? Thanks.
it needs repaired by a service center
I have a professional grade digital volt meter for work. I test batteries frequently in my line of work, so it's easy for me to test any battery. If you don't have one, just replace what you have. Even though the camera works fine while doing other operations, none of them draw as hard on the battery as digital zoom.
I hope this helps.
Kodak Easyshare V603 Replacment Screws?
Somehow, two screws popped out of my camera frame. I sent it back to Kodak with my warranty but they did not fix it. Does anyone know where to buy replacement screws for the Kodak Easyshare V603?
Take it to a locally owned camera store, not a big box chain. They often have many "parts" cameras where people sent them into repair and then didn't want to pay the cost so they are given to the store that can you can take the screws out of to replace them. Otherwise find someone local for camera repair and they will probably have the same thing. My store stores extra screws in the plastic film cans for just that reason. The only problem is there are many different sizes of the really tiny screws which is ridiculous in my mind.
I need usb cord for Kodak Easyshare V603!!?
anybody know where i can get a USB that will fit the Koadk Easyshare V603? i cant figure out what size it is...and i want to put my pictures & vids on my pc...i was given the camera from somebody but they didnt give me a charger or anything...PLEASE HELP
If you're looking for a charger, check out Hahnel and Inca for a generic one that will suit your battery, or check specifications on Kodak's website to confirm whether your battery charges inside the camera. If it does, you may need to contact the person who gave the camera to you, or look at purchasing a docking station.
Good Luck!
Which Camera is better and is a better buy the easyshare v803 or the easyshare v603. Their all from kodak.?
Please Explain why
Compare the two on kodak.com. One will have a feature you like better then the other.
which would be a better buy--- a kodak easyshare v603 or a casio exilim ex-z70? price is not an issue.?
i like them both the same. i read reviews on both and i got the same on all of them---great camera.
Kodak has the better lens
Kodak 6 MP EasyShare V603 VS. 6 MP CASIO EXLIM...?
Which ones better? The Kodak is $100 cheaper.
I have had the EXLIM EX-S500 and s600 models and LOVE THEM! THat said, the landscape changes dramatically every 6 months. You really need to look LESS at the technical specs, and more at how the camera feels in your hand, and how the menus and features are accessed.
What I mean is some of the best tools in the world are nearly impossible to use. Take Photoshop for example. Only a dedicated soul would be able to unlock the features of Photoshop software. It is the CADILLAC of photo editting software, but not suitable for the average home user. Digital Cameras are the same. YOU really need to see how well the features that YOU USE will be available. Can you get to sports-action settings quickly and easily? Can you switch to nightime sunsets?
Always look within ranges, ie. a $300 price point will yield different comparable models than the $600 pricepoint. CHoose a pricepoint and compare only within it.
The Kodak and Casio you show are in the $250-350 range. Good choice. The Casio is THINNER, and has a BEST SHOT feature. The Kodak mates will with their DOCK printer and that instant gratification may be interesting to you.
TRY THEY BOTH AT THE RETAIL STORES. It would be a shame to get a new camera only to find it too hard to use for YOU.
Panasonic or Kodak for my first digital camera?
After a few trips to the store...I really like the Panasonic Lumix FX3 and the Kodak Easyshare V603. Any advice on which to choose?
i always recommend u to buy panasonic's lumix
and i guess thats got a carl zeiss lens in it
then that should do fine
the lens clarity
size ,
weight and picture sharpness
is better in panasonic
go in for panasonic
my first choice
then think of kodak's easy share
What camera should I buy?
I am going tomorrow to get a camera for my birthday!! Iam not sure which digital camera I should get. My price range is up to $400.00. I have a digital camera that is 3 years old and I like it, but it is starting to not work. I perfer standard batteries (such as AA, AAA, etc.) but it is okay if they use special camera batteries. I would like to have a dock that comes with the camera so I can print out pics. The two I was looking at were the Kodak EasyShare V570 and Kodak EasyShare V603. Umm so I need feedback! Thank you!
I have an awesome digital camera from Olympus. It's a Stylus 300. =) http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Olympus%20Stylus%20300%20Digital%20Camera:1990989717
digital camera problem?
Has shut off and won't come back on, the lens is also open. It is a Kodak easyshare V603. What can I do? It waws not dropped or anything else, it just happened while taking a picture.
Sound like dead batteries. They don't give much warning of running out of charge, especially re-chargeable types like Ni-Mh.
Just replace or recharge your batteries and everything should come to life again.
Chris
I need to purchase a digital camera betweem $200 and $300. I have looked aroung and found these cameras.?
Here are the cameras:
Kodak Easyshare v570
Kodak Easyshare v603
Canon Powershotsd630
Canon Powershot sd600
Can you please tell me which camera, ou of those listed, is the best and why? If you do not like any of the cameras, please suggest one and why.
I would go for a Samsung.Digimax i6. It has mp3 player, video player, and a lithium battery that u dont need those batteries no more.
The picture quality is superb!
If you dont like that one, You will never like any other!
look on bestbuys.com, you might find something better that i dont know, or that you will like better!
