What Nikon or Canon camera is closest to the Kodak Easyshare Z1012 IS?

When I found the Kodak Easyshare Z1012 IS, I fell in love with it...
Although, I've heard many people say that Kodak is a burden to work with.
BUT- Of all the reviews I've read on this camera, the majority of them were positive comments!
So I thought maybe there's a camera with these same features (and even looks close to the kodak) somewhere out there that's a different brand??

where can i get a battery charger for the kodak easyshare Z1012 IS camera?

is it supposed to come with a charger? i find it odd that it didnt contain a battery charger!!

I bought the z812 is camera, the battery that came with it was terrible. I went to Kodak's website, & bought 2 Kodak batteries & a charger!!!! Works great, that way, I always have 1 battery ready to go!!!

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=12457&pq-locale=en_US

If your camera uses regular duracell, or name brand batteries, you can get a battery charger from walmart, or target, or a store like that. If it uses a special battery just for the camera, then go back to the store, and ask a worker where if they carry this kind of charger, or where you can get one. You might want to bring the camera to the store so you can see if it fits or not.

Hope this helps!
:)

changing from card memory to Internal memory in Kodak EASYSHARE Z1012 IS Digital Camera?

I lost my book and forgot how to do this? I want to go back to storing pics in the Internal memory, and right now they are going on the card, I also need to know how to go back and forth for other times.

Here's the support page for your camera. You can download a manual from here as well as find other support options:

Kodak EasyShare Z1012-IS? Is it good and worth it, or should i check out another brand?

I really like cannons, but I heard that this camera was really good too. I like how it's similar to an slr, but I don't want to spend a lot of money.

Kodak is a good brand, but by all means you should check out other cameras! Canon rules the marketplace when it comes to digital point-and-shoot cameras. I think you'll get a better camera (not to mention a smaller one - that Kodak is huge!) if you look around.

I'd definitely recommend you check out these two lists:

go with a canon they are they best well i think good pictures i love mine

Ok, so for Christmas I received a Kodak Easyshare z1012 IS. But the flash doesn't work. Help please.?

So for Christmas I received a Kodak Easyshare z1012 IS. For the first couple of times the flash worked, but now it doesn't.
Does anyone know what is wrong?

I have gone through all the flash settings, and read the manual, but it says nothing about this problem.
I have already done that,
Thank you though.

Hit the button on the top next to the on button. Sorry if you already did that, just making sure. :]

Kodak Easyshare Z1012 Professional?

So, I have been trying to find a decent camera for under $250.

Would the Kodak Easyshare Z1012 be sufficient for professional photography until I can afford a nicer one.

As a side note, I have gone to college for photography. I mainly dealt with film though. So, I do not know a whole lot about digital cameras. I just can't afford a good DSLR.

NOOOOOOOOO stay away from Kodak at all costs! Buy a canon powershot or a nikon instead. Either that, or I had a sony cybershot dsc h3, that was similar to the kodak you wanted, with much better quality. or why don't you save that money you were going to spend and put it toward a nice dslr like a canon rebel xt or xti?

Which one is better KODAK Easyshare Z1012 IS or Z712 IS?

I like photography sooo much.. and now my mom agreed on buying me my own camera.. and these two cameras are my only choices.. help!

I have the z712 IS and I LOVE it. Picking a kodak is the best way to go, as the colors are amazing.

The only big difference I see is that the z10 has more mega pixels. mps aren't a big deal unless you're taking pictures to blow up into giant posters or something. My camera can take pictures that blow up pretty big if you need the pictures to. The z10 also has a .03 faster shutter.

I'd personally recommend my camera. It's cheaper and it does the exact same things the other one does, except, like I said, the shutter speed is negligibly slower and the mps are lower.

Is the Kodak EasyShare Z1012 10.1MP any good?

I recently dropped my camera, and need more zoom, but I want 10 MP or higher. Is this camera any good, or is there anything like it or better??

my suggestion
go to yahoo shopping
digital cameras
digital camera GUIDE
be sure to check titles on the left side
the guide should answer your questions

Kodak Easyshare z1012 IS or Fujifilm Finepix z8100fd?

I'm stuck on whether I should get the Kodak z1012 or Fujifilm z8100fd. So, those of you that know a lot about cameras, what do you think?
Which of these have you owned? Why do you think [that] camera is better than the other one?

And also one thing... If you could tell me if the z1012 has black and white mode, that would be great. Thank you!
Oops, yeah i did mean a s8100fd. Hehe :]

try this site for reviews and make your own decision , I dont own either one of these but do own a Kodak and like it better then the fugi that I used to have
review of the kodak Z1012
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Kodak/kodak_z1015IS.asp

from the Kodak store http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=13039&pq-locale=en_US&CID=KOSBANNER&LOC=112008_Z1015IS_STREBTM

page for fugi , I dont see a z8100fd , or did you mean a S8100fd , all fugi models are listed on this page
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/FujiFilm/

if the camera doesn't have a B&W mode don't let that hold you back , photo spftwear programs will change your color pics to B&W try Picasa from Google , its a free program and easy to use

Something else to take in to concideration is wether or not it has an optical view finder , or just the lcd screen , if no view finder it will go through batteries like crazy

Hi.Just want to know if the camera KODAK EASYSHARE Z1012 10.1MPIX have a delay picture or instantanius. Thanks?

Virtually all point-n-shoot compact digital cameras are plagued by "shutterlag", that agonizing delay between you pressing the button and the camera capturing the picture.

With prefocus, this camera has an excellent shutterlag ratiing.

Here's some information from DigitalCameraReview.com:

"Timings and Shutter Lag

The Z1012 IS is a snappy camera. With a pre-focused shutter lag of less than .04 seconds, this camera is essentially capable of capture in real time. Without pre-focusing, the camera takes .6 seconds to lock focus and fire at wide-angle. All in all, this AF lag is quite acceptable for an ultrazoom, giving the camera a reasonably quick feel.

In continuous drive mode, the Z1012 is capable of 2.1 frames per second, or three shots in 1.4 seconds. Unfortunately the camera only has a three-shot buffer and can't shoot more than three full-res frames before stopping to write to the card. The flash averages 1.1 seconds between shots, with a 3.5 second full power cycle. This is a great speed, and in most cases the flash won't slow you down."

Here's the complete review.
