Kodak EasyShare Z1485 IS Zoom Digital Camera

Who says you can't have it all? The Kodak EasyShare Z1485 IS Digital Camera blends the latest picture-taking technology with the ultimate ...

Which is better camera Canon powershot A1000 IS or Kodak easyshare Z1485 IS ?

Canon one is 10.1 mega pixel and Kodak one is 14.2 mega pixel but price of both the products is nearly same. I am an amateur in photography so suggest me something useful.?

Canon Canon CAnon

i sell cameras and i only buy canon
kodak always come back faulty, canon never do

in Australia where i am all major tv stations use canon and so do photographers at football etc

Quality of Kodak is NOWHERE near Canon.

The sensor in Canons are better so a 10mp will produce a better image than Kodaks 14mp (and realistically no-one needs 14mp) and Canon are the only one to have OPtical Image Stabiliser (antishake) which is a spirit level in the lens that shifts the sensor the opposite way to which your hand is shaking when the picture is taken to avoid blur (so technically the sensor is still when image is taken)
Kodak just use software to enhance and remove blur.

I have a Canon and a Kodak rep gave me a camera to try for a few weeks to try swap me over, but its CRAP!!!

megapixels are important but shouldn't be the deciding factor. my 8 megapixel camera shoots as well as a 10 megapixel, but cost less. I would say go with Canon. they are a tried and true company. Kodak makes nice film but pretty crap cameras.

How to upload pictures from your camera to your computer using kodak easyshare software?

I've gone over this MULTIPLE times and have no idea what to do. My camera is a Kodak EasyShare Z1485 IS. I've tried adding pictures, and cannot find my camera folder to view and import my pictures. I've gone to my computer, and clicked on the camera picture from the USB cable and it doesnt show any pictures there. I cannot open any pictures up, but my camera says that there is pictures there. I use Winodws Vista home premium. I don't remember how I got pictures onto my computer last time. I got this camera in October. Any help? :(

After plugging your camera in, turn it off and then back on. It should automatically bring up a screen that lets you select what program to use (I detest the Kodak software, so just use the Windows software).

If you have a flash card for your camera and a card reader on your computer, that is the easiest way to download them. Just make sure that when you save them, they are saved to your harddrive and not back to your flash card. For the longest time, I couldn't find my pics and it was because I was saving them back to the camera and not the hard drive. LOL!

I have Vista and Kodak EasyShare s/w.

Usually when you plug your camera in using the USB cable, the s/w will autostart and help you download your pictures to the PC. You might want to try rebooting, turn off the camera, plug it in, turn on the camera, wait a few seconds for the s/w autostart.

If that doesn't work, start the EasyShare s/w manually, pick a folder, click on "Add pictures", scroll down on the "Select a location" window and you should find your camera. Double click on it, double click on the folders until you find your pictures. Select and continue the download.
