How can I do that with a Kodak Easyshare Z712?

You'll need a tripod first of all. And it needs to be dark.

Find the manual setting on your camera, or consult the manual. Set the shutter speed for a long duartion. I had a point and shoot similar to this that only did 15 seconds, so set it to the max shutter speed.

These images are created by the camera collecting information of the course of time. It works for water, lights, even moving people.

With digital I never shoot in the b&w mode. Just about any image editor can convert a color picture to b&w. It is much more difficult to convert b&w to color if you ever need to.

I need to find out how to change the picture taking time on my Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS, can someone help me?

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS and when I take a picture it take about 5 to 6 seconds for me to take another picture, I guess what I'm asking is, is there anyway that I could change that?

That could be one of two problems or both compounding the problem. Slow memory cards will delay picture taking. If you resolution is at the highest setting and you have a very slow memory card that could account for the delay.
Try reducing the picture resolution and see if that fixes the problem, then the other problem is that your pictures are at a low resolution.
The real solution is to get a faster memory card that can write the pictures to it without much delay. Higher speed cards cost more though but in your case if could be worth it. Here is a link for a fast memory card. It has 20Mb/sec speed (higher is better).

Is there a shutter release cord I can buy for my Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS?

I'm getting a tripod, but I was wondering if there was a cord I could hook up to my camera to take photos that don't come out blurry. My hands can be very unsteady and when I try to take artsy photos the camera shakes or my finger pressing the shutter release will make the camera move.

How about checking the Kodak website for accessories?

If you can't get an external shutter release, just use the timer function.

email on my camera and how it works. There are four names already on there and I can't change them or add to it. Does anyone have this feature on their camera?

My Z812 has that feature also. I have always just assumed that the feature is a worthless gimmick.

If you tag a photo for e-mail then when you download you should be prompted to send them.

I got my camera in about April. The battery life was terrible so I thought it was just that camera and exchanged it for another. Then the same thing happened. I have to change my batteries after about a half hour. What should I do?

Get the KLIC-8000 rechargeable batteries and things will work better.

I know how to get on the setting and i see the number but no matter what i press it won't change

1) Find the Owner's manual for the camera.

2) Read and study the Owner's Manual.

3) Read and study it again.

4) Practice using the functions and settings.

5) Practice some more, until you are as comfortable using your camera as you are a knife and fork.

I ordered a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS 7.1MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom yesterday.

My problem is that i don't know what type or brand of memory card i should get. I was thinking of a 2GB but i don't know if it would be compatible.Thanks anyone :)

I have a kodak easyshare Z712 camera and when I want to watch my videos on my PC it doesn't work.
I drag them over to a folder on my PC. And when I press play it says I need to pick a program or check the internet. So, I go pick a program, I pick Windows Media Player. But when I try playing it there, it says there is an error.
HELP???
