I deleted pictures on my kodak easyshare z730, can I retrieve them?
I recently deleted photos and was wondering if there was a program or website to retrieve them back from.
where is the undo button?
IMPORTANT: Do not take any more pictures until you recover the pictures and move them to another location!
Yes, ALL or MOST of pictures can usually be recovered. When you delete a picture it changes a setting in the "Table of Contents" (TOC) on the media to say that the space reserved for the picture can be reused. If you take any more pictures they can use that space and then recovery becomes unlikely!
There are many utilities available to recover the pictures, some free or shareware and other's for sale. Many vendors have a free trail version that you can try to see if they suit your needs and that may be the best place to start.
Google "Photo Recovery Software" and you will get many hits. Check out some of those sites and see what works for you.
Many people will tell you that the pictures are irretrievably lost but, in reality, when you "delete" the picture it changes one character in the TOC from a Zero to a One (or vice versa). The software figures out which character was changed, and as long as another item has not been written into that area of the disk/card, it changes it back and your pictures are saved.
HTH. Good luck.
how can i stop uploading duplicate photos from my Kodak EasyShare Z730 Camera?
I have like 5 of all the same pictures on my computer! Make the duplicates stop!
During your downloading you will be asked a question something like "Do you want to delete these files from your camera" click yes and they will be gone forever.
How or where can I fix my camera? Kodak Easyshare Z730?
It's the Kodak EasyShare digital Z730 5.0 megapixel
I got (literally) 2 drops of salt water on the lens, and it quit functioning properly, so I sent it to Best Buy to see if they could fix it, and the warrany didn't cover water damage, but when I got it back it wouldn't work at all--not even turn on. How could I get it fixed, and would it be less expensive just to buy a new one?
Okay, just got the camera to turn on, but Mode buttons do not work, it will only take a picture on Auto and little joystick doesn't work...ugh!
Alan says you should never take a camera near salt water!!! Go buy a Nikon Cool Pix it is so awesome! I think if Kodak won't help you then you should try a new company...Hey
Shawn Ann!
Sorry For The Bad News!
Thank You,
Bob
Can the Kodak EasyShare Z730 be used as a webcam?
NO
Kodak EasyShare digital camera, black screen and multicolored lines instead of picture?
I have a Kodak EasyShare Z730 digital camera and when I turned it on the screen is black and covered with multicoloured stripes, not brightly coloured, mostly red and pink with some green and blue and they kind of move around...why is this?
Try taking a picture and seeing what it looks like on the computer. If the picture is also messed up there's probably something wrong with your CCD. It'll probably cost more to fix than the camera is worth. If your pictures come out fine, it's just a broken LCD which will cost around $100 or so to fix.
Which camera is better quality:Kodak EasyShare Z730 - 5Mp - optzoom: 4x or Canon PowerShot A530 5mp 4x opzoom?
By the way, I ordered a camera off of Amazon and got it shipped next day.....I ordered the kodak z730 and so far so good!
When it comes to digital photography, I personally prefer Canon over Kodak. The two cameras you mentioned are rated about the same by customers at amazon.com, but you can read the descripts and reviews for yourself to determine which best fits your prefernce.
If you want to order from amazon, the Canon is about ten bucks cheaper than the Kodak on special right now and the Canon is on the free super saver shipping, too, while the Kodak isn't.

Kodak easyshare z730.?
i hope there is a technical genius out there who can answer this quickly. when i take photos my camera is taking longer than usual to load. i have also found that it is creating a copy of the jpeg file it stores as a LID file- i dont know what this is.
if you have any idea how to remove this function so that the camera takes and stores onlly one copy of the photo and why it is doing this please let me know.
thanks!
format the memory card in the player....
you might need to do a factory reset or software upgrade (http://kodak.com support) on the camera, which is covered in the instruction book...
Kodak EasyShare Z730! Please Help?
I have had my camera for a while, and I always would transfer my photos to my computer successfully, now when I plug in my chord to the computer, then plug it into the camera (i know to turn the camera on, when you want to transfer), nothing happens. When I plug it into the computer its supposed to show a special screen for transferring, but it doesn't. (I am positive I'm using the correct chord and software for my camera) CAN ANYBODY HELP ME??!!!
Kodak z730 flash issues?
I have a Kodak EasyShare z730 digital camera, and I'm not sure whether something is wrong with it or whether I just don't know how to use it. Every time I try to take a picture in Auto mode with the flash OFF, the little "shaking hand" icon displays and the pictures turn out blurry. On the other hand, if the camera is set to auto-flash, then it ALWAYS uses the flash, regardless of the lighting conditions.
Is this an issue with the camera? Or is there something I'm doing wrong? I want to be able to take normal pictures without flash. Thanks!
You may have your ISO setting on a lower setting thus the camera is selecting slower shutter speeds giving way to camera shake and blurry pics. Try adjusting to a higher ISO of say 200 or 400 and try the same pics at that setting without flash on and see if that helps. The camera has that built in alarm system to let you know the camera has selected a slow shutter speed to get a correct exposure and that warning means you need to either use flash or use a tripod with the timer.
The auto flash will pop up when in auto mode if the camera sensors indicate low light and will set the flash off to get a correct exposure. Hope this helps.
How do I take a reduced size picture with my Kodak Easy Share camera?
I have an EasyShare Z730 camera. It's my first digital camera and I enjoy it. The problem is the picture size is usually around 1000 KB. I can crop the picture and get it down to 200-300 KB, but some pictures can't be cropped as it would delete part of the picture.
It's really hard to e-mail pictures that size (1000 KB). Is there any way to take pictures and have it be a more condensed size?
Once you have it on your pc you can use a photo editing program to save it down.
When you have it on your pc just choose save as then choose jpg and when it asks you the quality choose a lower number it will use less space.
In photoshop it is from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best quality and the largest file.
The difference won't be noticable when looking at it. You only need it to be 10 if your blowing it up.
