Why won't my pictures from my Kodak Easyshare Z760 camera load onto my computer?

In the past I used to be able to easily transfer my pictures from my Kodak Easyshare Z760 to my computer. Lately, I haven't been able to do that. Every time I press the transfer button on my loading/printing dock, nothing happens. And then I go onto My Computer and it doesn't show the Kodak Easyshare Z760 connected to my computer. How do I fix this problem???

You may need to download updated kodak software for the camera to work or reinstall the current software you have....That is what I had to do with my camera

Thank you, chris

what I did, was , I uninstalled the easyshare software and connected the camera using an usb cable . then it began to show up in my computer and , i just clicked the camera and copy & paste the pics

First thing to try is connecting the camera directly to the computer. If pictures transfer then it's the dock that's suspect. If you know somebody with a memory card reader then see if the pictures are being stored on the memory. I had a similar problem not too long ago, the camera had problems storing and retrieving pictures, I popped the card into the reader and reformatted it and things have been great ever since.

Kodak Z760 Easyshare How to set it to AutoTake pictures?

I have a Kodak Easyshare Z760 digital camera. How do you set it to take a picture? Details, please. I want to set it on the tripod and have it take full length pic of me. Any help would be appreciated. Fastest answer gets BEST ANSWER asap!!

Hit menu, choose auto timer (probably the top option?), choose yes (or on? can't remember). Set up the camera, aim it, press the shutter button. The camera will focus and take the picture in 15 seconds.

somewhere on your camera there should be a button with what looks like a clock next to it, push this button until the little clock icon and a 10 appear on the screen. when you press the button to take a picture you will have 10 seconds to get into position in front of the camera before it takes the picture. hope this helps :-)

(it's probably one of the buttons on the top)

turn the little dial to the picture of the camera

Is the Kodak EasyShare Z760 camera compatible with Windows Vista??

i plugged it into my computer and loaded the pictures to a CD. at the time, all the pictures showed up as thumbnails. now that i plug in the cd, only 26 show up and open. the rest are x's... and there are 448.

Well, the fact that you have SOME suggests its fine. I would wonder which format the others were taken in.

I can't see any problem with piccie uploading in Vista - it has many bugs, but this doesn't seem to be one of them!

no

the memory card might be bad
go to yahoo search
type photo rescue

probably not. You should go to the kodak support web page and download the neccessary software.

Problem with charging Kodak Easyshare Z760?

Whenevery I place my Easyshare Z760 on the charging dock the battery light blinks red. Usually it is green, while the camera is charging, the kodak website wasn't very helpful and I am trying to avoid a call to India to solve this. I have tried to plug the charger into different outlets, nothing seems to help this.

your battery is bad that is why it is not charging
you can get them for about $20 on Kodak's website this should fix your problem

why won't the zoom on my Kodak easyshare Z760 work anymore? do i have it in the wrong setting?

Is the indicator in LCD display show? Is the lens moving.
the problem can come from button to lens stuck.

Please Help!!! My Kodak Easyshare Z760 keeps displaying "error # 45 see users guide"?

The message comes up when i go to the main screen.

the user's guide of my camera explain every error code. yours should do the same

How to disassemble EasyShare Z760?

I have a Kodak camera where the LCD screen distorts horizontally, but fixes when I squeeze it slightly. When I contacted Kodak, they told me it just probably had a loose connection, and that it would cost me $125. I have tried taking it apart, but can only access the back half.
to milepost211- I'm qualified for anything, especially a $5 6.1 mpx camera from a garage sale that just has a loose connection. Try knowing what I can and can't do before even trying to judge me. if I didn't think I could fix it, I wouldn't ask how to take off the front plastic covering.

I have two Kodak EasyShare camera's, charging question?

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z760 with the loading dock, and it charges fine, but then when I put the new plastic plate on to fit my Kodak Z712 IS, it lets me put pictures to the computer, but it doesn't charge... what is going on?!

My guess is that you will have to call Kodak Customer Service and have them help you thought the process.

I just bought a new Kodak easyshare camera, do I need to upload the new software or just keep the old?

I just bought a new Kodak easyshare camera and I have an old one. The one is a Z760 and the new one is a M893. Do I need to upload the software that came with the new camera to upload the pictures? Will uploading the new software erace all my old pictures from the old software?

It's up to you.

If you want, you can keep using your old version of EasyShare software.

Or if you prefer, grab the latest version from Kodak's website. Every so often, they'll add a new feature. It's not worth updating for every single version, but after a few years the improvements do add up.

Updating (or even deleting) your EasyShare software will NOT delete your photographs.

What camera would you recommend for a college student?

I don't need any of those fancy professional models. I want a 7-10 megapixel camera with a good zoom, pretty compact, nice LCD screen, SD memory card compatible. Effects and such would be a bonus, as would included accessories (other than the standard necessities).

I currently own a 6.1 megapixel Kodak EasyShare Z760. Basically, anything lighter and smaller would be an upgrade, and exactly what I want. Any suggestions?

Fuji makes some nice cameras that may fit your wants. Check out the link below. You can actually find this model at stores other than Wal Mart, it's just to show you the specs. They also come in different colors.
