BSP Anti-Lawsuit Fund At P1.5B Manila Bulletin

MANILA, Philippines — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has raised the self-assurance fund called the directors and officers liability insurance (DOLI) or its “anti-lawsuit fund” to a maximum amount of P1.5 billion from only P500 million.

With the BSP’s DOLI set aside fully, the BSP also put up a P3.65 billion fund to cover the insurance and replacement costs of its P7.5 billion worth of properties. About P1.1 billion was allotted for this year as self-insurance fund for its properties, and this amount will be withdrawn from its surplus account.

Next year until 2014, the BSP will set aside P850 million for the self-insurance fund, according to documents.

In the meantime, the Government Service and Insurance System (GSIS) has coverage of P500 million of the total DOLI, while the BSP contributed the other P1 billion.

While the fund is internally managed by the BSP’s Provident Fund, the GSIS is the administrator of the claims.

The DOLI was created in 2005 with an initial budget of P500 million. Based on a government audit report, part of the dividends that should have been remitted to the Department of Finance in 2004 was placed instead as the DOLI’s seed fund.

The DOLI is sometimes referred to as the BSP’s anti-lawsuit fund.

BSP officials can tap both the self-funded and GSIS insurance funds in the event of lawsuits that may arise in connection with the exercise of their functions.

The DOLI covers all cases or suits – past and present – filed against a central bank official in relation to his/her work.

GSIS will provide insurance only for high-ranking officials and directors such as the BSP governor, the three deputy governors, Monetary Board members and top directors. The DOLI, in the meantime, will provide insurance for bank examiners.

KODAK photo frame unboxing (Easy share P750/P850)

Just a simple unboxing of a KODAK photo frame I got for christmas.

I have a kodak P850, some of my pictures have too much light. How do I change that?

I took pictures in the snow on a bright sunny day. The pictures have to much light and everthing looks washed out. How do I correct this?

There are two ways you can go about this:
1) Control your shutter speed or ur aperture for the correct amount of light to come in. This looks like a very unsure method to achieve what u want to.
2) There are loads of photo editing softwares. THe online giant in this area is Adobe Photoshop. Use it to contrl the brightnness, contrast, color. U can to all sorts of things with this software.

How do I load my Pictures to my desktop from a Kodak P850 camera?

It only allows me to use Kodak Easyshare and I want to download them to my desktop to copy them for family and email them. Do I need to have a camera doc? or a special driver disc? My computer asks for a driver under the scanner/camera area on my computer. I don't have a driver info only the Kodak Easyshare disc. Thanks

Save them in My Pictures or My documents using a distinct name like "Vegas strip" or "Family" or something. [ if you don't name it, it will be a bunch of numbers.]
Then right click on the desktop and go to properties. Click on desktop tab at the top. Then click "Browse" button on the right side of the window. Find your file and click open. Your picture should come up in the small screen in the window. Click apply and ok.

If you are trying to load the picture on the computer, plug in the USB. Once plugged in, the computer should detect new hardware. Install it. This will allow you to upload your pictures. Once opened, you will be able to go to file and save like anyother software...

Hope this helps...

they are also in my documents
and my pictures

How will i know the focus area in the dark, with my Kodak P850 camera?

also without the flash, how can set my lens/shutter speed to get a decent indoor pic?

Hope you have a tripod because you arent going to get a good clear shot indoors without flash. Change it to M mode or Manuel mode. Set your shutter speed to 1/80 or slower. The slower the shutter speed the more chances with you to have blurry imagines.

Trial and error, I'd say, and don't expect anything spectacular.
Set the camera to manual, aperature to f/2.8 and then try whatever shutter speed gives you the least dismal results.
The faster the shutter speed you use, the less contrast you will have, and the slower the shutter speed, the blurrier the picture you will have due to shaking. A tripod is a good idea, in fact a necessity, but even then you're not going to get anything great, given you're only using $300 camera.

What is the best flash to buy to attach to my Kodak Easyshare P850?

Ever since I bought my camera, I always read how I would need a flash, since the one on my camera wouldn't work so great whenever it came time for me to zoom into something.
I've been looking on Ebay. I'm trying to find one that isn't expensive, but works really well.
I would love suggestions on which ones work the best.

-this question might not be so clear. dont feel the need to answer it if you have no idea what i'm talking about. :D

Also, I've looked up some, and I'm wondering if there is any that I don't have to attach the camera, but one that can be placed somewheres else when i take the picture?? I'm not exactly sure what I would have to search to find what im talking about here, on ebay.

You would search for "slave flash" - http://photography.search.ebay.com/slave-flash_Digital-Camera-Flash-Units_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQcatrefZC12QQfromZR40QQsacatZ107930
or you can also check your local Ritz Cameras:

How good are Kodak P850 Digital cameras for sport photography? How simple are they to use?

ALL small digital cameras are point & shoot . This one is no exception. it's good ...

What's the difference between the Sram P850 and P830 8 Spd Cassette?

While I have not looked into the exact differences between these two, SRAM numbers their products so that the higher the number the better the spec. so the 850 is better than the 830 and this continues to the top of the line 990.

What are the best settings for a Kodak P850 camera for nigth concert picture taking?

Already went through manual and it did not help

This is a good time to read your manual..

Is there maybe an adapter i can buy.

Yes,but you'll have to shop around for them.

I have an kodak easyshare p850 And i dont know which kind of memory card to buy!?

there is megabytes that are a lot and the 1 gb reguler and super wich brand and kodak only wants me to buy its brand!

No, you dont have to buy Kodak brand. Visit your local Walmarts photo dept. and they will take you right to the selection thats right for your camera. Most Kodaks take the same type of card. And, its alot cheaper than buying from the manufacturer.
