Does any one know where I can get a New Nikon Coolpix 2100 camera. I need to replace one thats just broke...?
I need to replace a broken camera for a friend. I know this is an old camera, but they like it and it takes great pictures. I have tried Ebay, Amazon with no luck.
The Coolpix 2100 is no longer in production. You can probably find plenty of used ones, but a new one is going to nigh impossible.

This past weekend, 2GB cards were being sold for $10 US. While VAT is a factor, you should be able to find 1GB and 2GB cards in the area of 6 to 7 GBP.
Nikon Coolpix 2100 digital camera.?
I am trying to take pictures with my camera, I have the dial set on auto (the icon of the camera) but every time I turn it on the lens comes out, then goes back in a gain and the camera turns off. It doesn't turn off when I am looking at previous pics I have taken, can anyone please advise?

Try selling on eBay "as is", where you make it clear it is broken and charge a small price for it. Sometimes people buy for parts.

The Nikon Coolpix 2100 does not have a microphone so no audio is recorded with video clips.
Why wont my memory card work?
I have a Nikon Coolpix 2100, I bought a 4gb CF Memory card for it, when I put it in my camera it said the card needed to be formatted, when I formatted the card it then said out of memory but I checked the card and there was nothing on it? I sent the card back to the shop and they issued me with another one, I put it in my camera again and it said the card needed to be formatted again, I didn't format the card but it still said the same "out of memory"?
What could the problem be??
It could be the camera. Consult the manual to see if there is a specific brand or type of memory card that it requires. If that doesn't solve the problem then take the camera and card into a professional photo shop and ask for their opinion and see if they can fix it.
Have I lost my pics?
I have a small Nikon Coolpix 2100 camera which we filled with pictures on a 512 MB SanDisk Compact Flash card.
I plugged the lead into the camera and PC and switched the camera on as normal.
Thumbnails started to appear on my nikon program, but half way through the data transfer the camera batteries went dead and 'E/......blah cannot read thumbnails' appeared on the screen.
I charged the batteries up again but now I get 'WARNING!! THIS CF CARD CANNOT BE READ' appear on the camera screen.
When I load the Compact Flash card into the front of my printer, I can see the pictures scrolling through on the small printer screen but cannot transfer the data to CD or to the computer.
The pictures are obviously there - how can I get them off?
Is it worth asking 'Jessops' or something?

Take it to the photo printing shop, they will be able to put the card straight into the computer and transfer onto the disk that way. It seems it's the camera that's the problem and not the disk - try it it should be fine!!
