Where can I sell my Nikon Coolpix 2500 for like $200?

In your dreams, if you are lucky. The sad truth is that this 2 MP camera is over five years old now. No matter how lovely the pictures might be, $200 will let a buyer choose from literally dozens of brand new 5-6 MP cameras.
I checked eBay and waited for this auction to end. There were 14 bids, so there WAS some interest in the camera. This Coolpix 2500 with a memory card sold for $36.00. There are 4 others for sale. One has bids up to $32.49 with 16 hours to go. Of the other three, one has one ninety-nine cent bid, one has a one penny bid and the other has no bids.
Free Nikon Coolpix 2500 Software?
Well my grandmother gave me the camera and the usb cable, but apparently she could never find the software allowing me to tranfer the pictures to my computer. Is there any places I can get software for this camera or any kind to allow me to transfer the pictures to my computer?
They dont have any installation software for this camera on the nikon website :(
and on the list of connected harware the computer just says "unknown device" and it cannot find the software

i tried sliding out the plate taht the switch called card/batt. opens..but i only saw the card, not the batteries
Look for a little tiny slide switch on the back of the camera that for some reason has a picture that looks like Pacman next to it. Slide it in the only direction it will go and the battery hatch should unlock. Slide the cover out away from the camera body and flip it open.

how to upgrade my dell computer and download pictures to it?
i have a dell inspiron 2500 with windows millenium... everytime i try to put windows 98 on it, it wont let me.... the computer works fine and i have the internet but i have a nikon coolpix camera and when i take the usb cord to download my pictures to picture project onto my computer it wont let me...any suggestions?? or answers??thank you
You can buy a card reader - that you can plug into the USB port of your computer. You take the memory card out of your camera - and plug it into the card reader.
Then, you can copy your photo files from the memory card onto the computer.
It's a step or two more than the automatic camera recognition software - but it does the same thing - and likely won't involve updating operating systems or other drastic measures.
Many cameras also have a mode in which the camera will appear to the computer as an external drive - instead of as a camera. Read your user's manual. If you do that - your computer might recognize it as an external drive - and you can copy the photo files directly, just as you would with a card reader.
First off I wouldn't recommend going backwards on the OS, meaning that Microsoft doesn't even support win98 anymore.
Try going to the Nikon website and look for the drivers for that particular model camera and the OS you already have installed.

I'm finding that you can use "AA" alkalline batteries or Nikon's rechargeable NiMH batteries. Check the manual for power output requirements. If you want to use disposable batteries, use Energizer e2 Lithium batteries for cameras. They cost twice as much but last four times as long.
