GWS SlowStick and Nikon Coolpix L10

Nikon coolpix L10 digital camera in video mode onboard modified GWS SlowStick. Filmed at Nummela aerodrome, Finland

Can anyone suggest me the settings required to shoot the text document in Nickon coolpix L10 digi.camera?

I use Nickon coolpix L10 camera. 5.0 megapixels. 3x zoom. I tried with auto focus without flash. Since I dont have a scanner ,i want to this method,

If your camera has a macro setting, set your camera on that mode. If your camera has an automatic macro, turn it on. If you do not have macro, this will be difficult with your camera but not impossible.

Turn off your automatic flash. Set your flash to always on or always off. If set the flash to always off, you may need to set up extra lighting around the document. The lighting must be strong in order to capture the fine details of each and every single letter in the document.

Zoom all the way out to 0 (zero). Do not use zoom at all. Move the camera as close to the document as possible. Be sure that you get as much of the document in the frame as possible without being so close that the camera can't focus. You may need to turn your camera sideways in order to do this properly and more effectively
* If you can frame the whole document in the view finder without going out of focus, take the photo. You do not have to be close enough to be able to see the words in the display. Your 5mp camera will have more than enough resolution that when you view the photo in your computer later or print it out, the words will be legible.
- If you are not worried about photographing the entire document at once, you can probably move in closer and get very good high quality close-ups. Mind your focus and don't go too far in. If you are having problem with your autofocus, you may need to switch to manual (if you have it).

Be aware that this process will not create a total accurate recreation for large documents. Your camera takes 8x10 photos while letter paper is 8.5x11 and legal paper is even longer. In other words, letter and legal documents are larger than your camera's photo size. The documents in the photo will be recorded to a size slightly smaller than the actual document. The document will look fine when you view it on the computer screen, but it will not print to paper exactly like the original.

You may need to take a few test shots to find what works best for your particular camera. Each macro system is different.

How Can I Transfer My Recorded Audio From My Nikon Coolpix L10 To My Computer?

I recorded audio with this camera. But when i plug it into my computer, it only allows me to transfer images. My audio file doesn't even show up in the camera.

Use the software Nikon sent with the camera. It should allow you to transfer the audio and format it.

How can I change my camera's ISO level on a Nikon Coolpix L10?

I couldn't find anything in the manual about it. Please help!

http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/noprint/L11_L10en_noprint.pdf

Look at page 25, the ISO changes from 64 to 800, if you turn oft the flash and the image is dark then the camera moves to ISO 800 by itself.

I don't think you can change it on your camera. It's automatic.

ISO sensitivity Auto (auto gain ISO 64-800)

With a - Nikon COOLPIX -L10 - digital - how do I EASILY take small pics suitable to email?

Easy steps please, as I am just trying to learn how to work the camera.

Using the menu button locate "Image Modes" and select "PC" (1024x768). That should be sufficient for e-mail. Just remember to reset it if you choose to shoot for larger pictures.

How do you charge a nikon coolpix L10?

It didnt come with a charger, i tried charging it useing the USB port but it didn't work, am i doint it wrong? how do you charge it?

Your camera uses AA batteries.

Unless you have purchased the recommended AA NiMH batteries with a charger, you just have to replace the old batteries with new ones.

USB charging is rare in P&S cameras

It would help you a lot if you read the manual. It will tell you all about your camera.

You need to buy AA rechargeable batteries and a charger. The Sanyo eneloop batteries come charged, and stay charged out of the camera. They seem to last longer in the camera, too. They can be recharged 1000 times.

My Nikon Coolpix L10 Camera switched it's self off last night and will not switch back on. Can anyone help?

I've tried new batteries but that did not work. It's completely dead.

Remove batteries. Check for corroded batteries. If it is corroded, you'll see white gunk built up around the battery. If so, clean it. Never use water. The corrosion may have also damaged the camera (it is not usually covered under warranty).

No corrosion? Wait 5 minutes. Place fresh name brand batteries inside. Try again.

If the problem persists, you camera may require servicing. Nikon offers 2 year warranties for most regions. Find you receipt. Contact your purchasing store. Good camera stores will service the camera for you, or take care of the warranty on your behalf. If they won't do anything, contact Nikon directly.

Nikon warranty typically takes 4 weeks, but will vary depending on your location.

Can I use a sony memory stick duo pro with a nikon coolpix L10?

Hi I had a sony cybershot, the lens block of which is damaged in a fall. I got a Nikon coolpix, can I use the same card?
I have a 512 Magicgate memory stick pro duo.

No. Memory sticks are a Sony invention and they only work with Sony producs. The Nikon L10 uses SD/MMC cards.

among canon a470 and nikon coolpix l10 which is better digicam ?

I would recommend to spend a little bit more to get Canon A590 IS. It has image stabilization which helps to reduce blurry pictures.

Will the Nikon Coolpix L10 take NiMH AA batteries?

Thank you!

Yes, in fact it is optimized to use them ... any other AA will not give you the energy performance you will need.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=nikon_cpl10&show=all

Of course as with all digital cameras, energy management is the most important part of how well and how long the batteries last no matter what kind they are.

can i use my nikkon coolpix L10 digital camera as a web cam? if so how do i do it?

Compact digital cameras are designed to produce high quality still images and low resolution video's.

Webcams are even lower resolution and are designed to get their power from the USB port. You camera uses AA NiMH batteries which may have a life of under one hour when left on, so even it you could use it, it would not last long.

Look for a nice cheap webcam on sale and use your nice Nikon Coolpix to taking photographs
