Nikon Digital Cameras Under 100 Dollars Nikon Coolpix L11 Press Release Centre (press release)

( press release distribution ) For folks who are looking for the best digital cameras under 100 dollars, there are a few models which fit the bill. The Samsung PL20, the VuPoint DV-WPST541-VP, and the Nikon Coolpix L11 are generally available in most markets for less than $100 and they offer basic digital camera functions as well as good quality for the price.

The Nikon Coolpix L22 is specifically very popular, apparently for more than just their name. It is a compact camera that is able to do what bigger cameras do for much less money. The Coolpix offers users 6 megapixels, (for photos as large as 16 x 20 inches), which is more than you will find with most digital cameras under 100 100 dollars.

The Coolpix also sports a bright 2.4-inch LCD screen so that you can view and share your photos. The 3x zoom lens helps you get those close-ups you want while the trademarked in-camera red-eye fix automatically filters out most red-eye.

These amazing digital cameras under 100 dollars also feature an exclusive face-finding system from Nikon which automatically focuses on faces in your photos. Another highlight of this compact digital masterpiece is the D-lighting option which can help improve details and brightness on backlit or dark photos.

Of course there are other digital cameras under 100 dollars on the market as well, such as the previously mentioned models from Samsung and VuPoint, but currently the Nikon Coolpix is the clear forerunner.

Problems defects with Nikon digital camera coolpix L11

My coolpix L11 produces a fluttering noise (audio) on all videos that it takes. Even when there is no external room noise to the clip, it still ...

How do you change the shutter speed on a Nikon CoolPix L11?

I recently bought a Nikon CoolPix L11. How do you change the shutter speed on auto mode? Or scene mode?

I don't think you have any control over shutter speed on the L11. Some scene modes favor faster or slower shutter speeds, but I just looked at the brochure on-line and I see no mention of a shutter priority mode.

How good is the nikon coolpix L11?

I am looking for a first digital camera and this one seemed good for the money.

coolpix is around 110$ ... i think you can get some better ones for that amount of cash .

take a look at this page which lists some good cameras in that range ...coolpix is at the very bottom of this list ...

http://www.reviewgist.com/digital-camera-reviews?Price=0-to-110

I agree that it's good, though I think the Nikon L10 ( http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7694082 ) might be an even better value. I mean, it's $90 at Wal-Mart, available in pink or silver. It's the only camera I know of under $100 that doesn't have any noticeable shutter lag.

Never mind the difference between 5MP and 6MP -- that's almost entirely marketing hype anyway. (see "The Megapixel Myth", http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/mpmyth.htm )

In general, I think the Nikon L series is a good choice for a first-time user! Compared to other compact digital cameras, the buttons are large and the interface is simple. You won't miss shots because you're fumbling with a gagillion buttons and dials.

Also, here is how to make a digital camera last longer: Attach the wrist strap that comes with the camera. Wear it every time you are holding the camera. When you're not holding the camera, put it in a proper camera case. (Cases that attach to the belt can protect your camera yet keep it instantly accessible!) Why do this? Because accidental drops and dirt in the lens are the #1 and #2 causes of broken cameras. (do a YA question search for "broken camera" if you don't believe me)

To GadgetGu...: I looked at your link. While Canon and Fujifilm are fine alternatives to Nikon, this link proposes that Kodak and Samsung are good too?! If you've ever handled these cameras personally (as I have), you would know that Kodak and Samsung produce very cheap-feeling cameras, with no heft or substance.

How do I get pictures from my Coolpix L11 to my computer?

i connect the camera to the computer but it says not connected.
can anyone help me?
it keeps saying no pics selected but i dont even see the pics from the camera

With my camera i have turn the camera on first and the plug it it... the monito on your camera will go black but it will still be on!

maybe you have to you the software that came with it also... other than that you probably need to take it back

put the camera in review mode

Is it possible To put Pictures on my Nikon Coolpix L11?

6.0 Mega-pixels
iso 800
2.4inch LCD

My wife got a Digital picture frame for christmas and it reads our SanDisk card.I can plug it in and drag photos from the camera to the desktop but not the other way around. Wondering if there is a program or something thats will allow me to input files onto the card.

You should be able to drag photos onto the card.
Check to see that the "read-only" switch is not flipped, usually it is on the side of the card.

no

Why won't my Nikon L11 Coolpix turn off atfter hooking it to computer?

I hook it to the computer to transfer pictures and it won't turn off durting or afterwards unless I take the batteries out. Am I missing something?

Check the setup in the cameras menu for the USB setting. Make sure it is set to PTP not mass storage. If your camera is set to mass storage you must disconnect it from the camera before actually disconnecting the cable. What I mean is a icon in the system tray appears when in use. You must tell the computer to disconnect or your camera still thinks it connected.

Which camera produces better image quality? Panasonic Lumix FX9 or Nikon Coolpix L11?

I have only 2 choices: the Panasonic Lumix F9 or the Nikon Coolpix L11... Both are 6 megapixel cameras... Which camera produces better images? I'm basically only concerned about image quality.

My Nikon Coolpix L11's lens has been jammed. Is there a way to fix it?

I have no idea if it's even possible to fix it, but the lens is jammed. I tried the manual, no troubleshooting help for something like this. Anyone been through it and fixed it? any advice?

try this me old china .....

Dropped my Nikon Coolpix L11, won't turn on .. ? HELP?

I dropped my Nikon Coolpix L11, and it will turn on, but nothing shows up on the screen, and after a few seconds it turns off again. Is there anyway I can fix this, and if I can't, how much would it cost to get it fixed ?

Eeek, you're probably better off buying a new one then. Because the repair would either almost equal/exceed the amount to buy a new one.

How much would you pay for an Coolpix L11?

seems the going rate is about $100 or around there so I would pay that or a little bit more depending if it has a bigger memory card with the deal.

Best bet is the internet often shipping cost is less than the cost of paying sales tax so you save some there.

What do you think about NIKON COOLPIX L11?

Do you guys think that's a good camera? My friend has one and I just fell in love with it. I'm thinking about buying one today. It's not that expensive either. What type of batteries work well with it???

Personally Nikon CoolPixs are not the best cameras in the world. Its a decent camera but for imagine quality go for Canons but I dont know if that really matters.
