What batteries can I use with my Nikon Coolpix L2?

I already have the original Nikon batteries but need to buy another pair. Can i use Uniross NiMH AA batteries in my Nikon Coolpix L2? If not what rechargables can I use?? Can I charge the Uniross NiMH batteries in my Nikon MH-71 charger[MH-71 charger is designed to charge Nikon's NiMH batteries]?

You should be able to use any NiMH AA batteries in your camera. I would recommend to get the one with 2600mAh or above. If your Nikon charger is a standard NiMH charger (5 hours charging), it should be able to charge any NiMH AAs.

Why does my nikon coolpix L2 digital camera's photos come out blurry?

It seems that even when I hold my camera as still as I can, my pictures still show up blurry on the display window.Does anyone know what I should do to handle this problem?

Do your images come out blurry with you shoot in bright sun?

Try shooting but with your camera on something solid ... like a table.

Any brand camera will produce blurry photos if the camera or subject moves during the exposure.

Just one class in photography will teach you all you need to know about using a camera. No matter how still you hold your camera (at arms length is my guess and no flash, indoors), there will be some camera movement. Either your cameras shutter speed has to be fast enough to overcome the movement ... like when shooting outdoors in the sun or you have to use the flash .. other wise while the camera will properly expose the sensor, the shutter speed will be so slow either you or your subject will move causing blurring

If you look you should find that you have zoomed in on your subjects "And we all look double the size. why is that?"

Shaky has to do with camera movement. When shooting indoors without flash, your exposure times will be longer, thus requiring you to use something to steady the camera, so it doesn't move during the exposure. Also when using the camera at its longest zoom setting, you can introduce camera movement as well.

You may want to take a class or two to learn how to control the many features on the camera so you are happier with your images.

Nikon CoolPix L2 USB cord?

i lost my USB cord for my camera! the model is Nikon CoolPix L2. 3x zoom, 6.0 megapixels (if that means anything when it comes to USB cords!) Anyway, i was wondering how much just a cord would cost and where i could get one. i was searching the web for a bit and couldnt find it. HELP!

You really don't need it.

Get a card reader for about $10 and down load your memory card from it. This will take care of your current problem and will save the batteries in your camera.

Try Nikon USA site's mall and see if you can find the USB camera to computer cord.

I want to buy a camera. Between Nikon Coolpix L2 and Sony Cybershot DSC-W30, which camera should I go for?

Nikon, they use SD cards, which are really inexpensive. The sony ones normally take special memory cards that are more expensive. I had a sony also and was always having to replace the batteries. The nikon i have now has a lithium battery and it stays charged for a really long time. My friend has a nikon that takes regular batteries and they lasted for a little while. Hope this helps!

Hi,
I'm going to be visiting Malaysia & Singapore soon and wanted to know the street prices of Digital cameras - Nikon Coolpix L1, L2, Canon Powershot A700 or anything similar as available in Malaysia and Singapore.
Would the warranty be applicable in any other countries if I buy there?
Trying to guage whether it would be beneficial to buy it there rather than in India..

I'm not very sure about the prices though,but I do have many Indian friends who have their relatives buying back eletronic items like cameras in Singapore to India. They must have their reasons I guess.

There are a few places you can start your shopping in Singapore tho':

1) Funan Shopping Centre :-
Mainly computers,but the major camera labels have their servicing centre there, like Canon. Prices are usually fixed but reasonably market-priced. You would hardly bump into a cunning merchant here.

2) Sim Lim Square :-
You are required to be a little more street smart when shopping here. That's all I have to say. Compare prices as you go before you make your purchases.
If luck is on your side,you could get what you desire at a steal.

sure! They take sd cards, the gb's do not matter, it just gives you more pictures.

it takes about 30 secs for my camera to take the picture... how can i fix this problem???? [other than buying a new camera] I don't have my manual... does anyone know the settings to correct this??

I was out tonight and taking lots of photos and when a friend went to take a photo, the screen went white and a red message saying lens error appeared. I have tried taking the batteries out, then putting them back, turning the camera on and off and even trying to gently force the lens back in but it's still there and not retracting.
The thing is it's my dad's camera and there's no way I can afford to buy a new one! I think he's had it less then 12 months but I was wondering if there is any other way to repair it before I take it somewhere for a repair.......

The thing is that Dad will have to sort it.

I have a Nikon Coolpix L2, but no instruction book. How do I set the Forced flash mode?

On my S10 (my wife's Coolpix has the same S/Ware), press the up navigation (or cursor) button, it has a flash symbol on it. This brings up the flash menu.Scroll to the fourth option down, a large solid white arrow and press OK.This is for fill in flash which fires every time.

Also try the Nikon website for a manual
