Can I charge a Nikon Coolpix P1 without the charger?
I forgot the charger for my new camera, but I will have it back in a week. Can I charge my battery in any other ways? I do have the computer transfer cable, if that makes any difference?

You must have the charger. They make an optional power cable for the camera to run on A/C, but it does not charge the battery. I'm sure numerous people have forgotten their chargers for lots of cameras and been pretty disappointed...

no, in nikon coolpix series the image is saved and later viewed thru usb only.
But this is impossible.
Photos are stored in digital format.
But in webcams they cant store the photos but can convert it to digital format.

Hello Both cameras are good but In my opinion the Nikon is a better camera by far.
The Nikon has 8.0 mega pixels VS. Canon's 7.1 mega pixels. The Nikon has a built-in WiFi connection, which allows wireless transferof your images,if your computer is compatible. The storage space on the Nikon is external sd/mmc card plus a 32mb internal memory, while the Canon, only has external memory. The Nikon has a slightly larger LCD screen.
But one of the key factors is that the Nikon comes with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and charger, while the Caonon runs off of (4) AA batteries, ( this can become real expensive.

You can use a program called cPix that will allow your camera to function as a webcam. You can download it from here:

If you don't already have the drivers for your camera, you need to download those as well. They can also be found on the same webpage.
Nikon Coolpix P1 Camera Help!?
I need to know how to transfer pictures from my camera to my memory card!? I took pictures on my camera without the memory card in it, and now I need those pictures on my card and off my camera. I've done it before but I can't remember how I did it, and I can't figure it out!
In an old Traveler (a cheap camera company) Camera of mine with internal memory, I simply did the following with a memory card with enough space in the camera:
1. Go to Image Playback
2. Go to the Menu (it may be the other way round, so go into the Image Playback Menu)
3. There should be an option that says 'Copy to Card'
That should copy it to the card. I hope that this works
Can I upload photos from a camera without the proper disk?
The camera is a Nikon CoolPix P1 and it came with a disk but it hasn't been uploaded on this computer and is lost. Is there a webpage that can help or anything?? Please!!
