Digital Camera Sony cybershot DSC-W80 vs Nikon coolpix S500?

I dont care about the price

i want to know which one would worth the money?
i am looking for one that has a great anti-shaking system, or good ISO,

and tell me which one has longer bettery life?
by how many pictures?

and which one has a good quality picture on short ranges?

which one has a good qualilty on longer ranges?

which one was good quality pictures overall?

i would really thank you if you could answer as many as possible. it is very important for me

I love my W80 so much! It is a really, really great camera...no problems at all and I'd reccommend it to anyone!

which one is best?? sony cybershot dsc w80 nikon coolpix s500 canon ixus 75?

i want a simple point shot 7 megapixel digital camera.....i'm not a photographer...but i want camera...which one has image stablizer....and would give good indoor as well as night shots....or better option than above...with in same price range.....

The DSC W80 has the image stabilizer feature, I'd choose that one.

I have the sony and Love it! Just got one for my son for Christmas and we had gotten one for my daughter for her birthday last year.

Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 or Nikon Coolpix S500?

Which of these two digital cameras is better? Will be using it for general picture taking and some photos/videos at music gigs. Thanks!

I'd have to say the Casio, since I just looked up the Nikon...... and the manufacturer's website the RRP is £250 for a 7megapixel camera, while the silver version of the Casio is only £166.84
http://astore.amazon.co.uk/wormdanglecou-21/detail/B000FIBON4/203-9338484-3266364
and looks marginally better.
Here's a review of it with some sample pictures:

And though I'm not particularly fond of Sony camera's because they use slightly more expensive Memorystick cards, the DSC-N2 (similar price to the Nikon) looks pretty cool, and is also a 10.1megapixel camera

nikon coolpix

Exilim is very good. BUT ask your camera seller which is the quickest in reset time.
Exilim good for different type shots, but sometimes a delay between shots which is very (very!) annoying.

I'm very particular with vivid colors... i'd say, buy the Nikon s500. Casio's resolution may be of 10 megapixels but it's not as bright and natural compared to photos from a Nikon cam... by the way, I would rather buy the latest Nikon Coolpix P5000 (i'm waiting for it to be in our local market)
You can check out Steve's Digicams at

and view the sample pictures of each digital camera model of your choice.
There's another site where you can compare the cameras of your choice side by side

the Canon IXUS 850is (Canon SD800is) is also an ideal cam because most of the reviews I read say that this camera is fast, but I would still prefer to wait for the Nikon Coolpix P5000. Always buy the best, rather than regret having bought a 'lemon" afterwards.

Canon SD1100 vs. Nikon COOLPIX S550 ? Which is better!? (as a whole)?

Nikon COOLPIX S500
http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Digital-Camera/26110/COOLPIX-S550.html

Canon SD1100
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=145&modelid=16347

SD1100 has an optical viewfinder. This is a battery saver.

S550 is a 10 megapixel camera, SD1100 is an 8 megapixel camera.

SD1100 has a larger sensor. Larger sensor size produces less noise at higher ISO. S550 can go up to ISO 2000 where SD1100 can only go up to ISO 1600. At 1600, the S550 would be noiser than the SD1100.

S550 has a focal range of 36-180mm (4.7x zoom). SD1100 has 38-114mm (4x zoom).

SD1100 maximum aperture range is 2.8-4.9. S550 is 2.7-5.8. Hard to tell here, but I imaging at 114mm on S550, it might be close to 4.9, so the S550 is probably better here.

As a whole, the S550 is probably the better camera. The SD1100 is good and can last longer on a battery if the optical viewfinder is used.

Here is the S500 link: http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1&grp=2&productNr=25559

Here is the P5000 link:
http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1&grp=2&productNr=25565

Major differences:
P5000 has 10 MP vs. 7 MP - not a HUGE difference in the real world
P5000 has a hotshoe to accept Nikon Speedlights for TTL lighting. If you are into it, this is a major advantage, since you will be rather limited with either camera's on-board flash.
P5000 has the 1/1.8" sensor and the S500 has the much smaller 1/2.5" sensor. The bigger sensor usually has better image quality, especially in lower light.
P5000 has a bit more reach on the tele end of the lens.
P5000 macro as close as 4 cm; S500 only as close as 15 cm.
P5000 has an optical viewfinder and S500 does not.

Of course, the P5000 lists for $400 and the S500 lists for $300, so it OUGHT to be a better camera. I think it is significantly better. It looks like Nikon may be back on track with its P&S line.
