Which camera is better, the Fuji Finepix Z20fd 10mp or the Nikon Coolpix S52 9mp?

* IS (image stabilization)
* 16:9 image ratio option for shooting panoramic's
* Higher energy flash unit
* Larger LCD

Take a look at the S52c ... it includes a WiFi connection too.

which do you guys think is better?

I like the s60.
But,If you don't want a touch screen then the s52.
I would buy it online.
And the price would be $350 for the s60 and
$200 for the s52

As you can see they are very much alike, although the S52 has a better IS system (lens .. not sensor) and includes a 16:9 panoramic image ratio available.

Can you use the Nikon Coolpix S52 as a webcam?

No ... no high quality compact digital camera will.

* They all have auto shut-off features that are designed to increase the time the cameras batteries will provide power.
* Batteries are designed to shoot a certain number of images, not stay on and provide power to the camera for long periods of time.
* You would have to find a program that would take the output from your camera and video stream it to the Internet.

This is a lot of work, when you can buy a "real" webcam" for under $25 that is powered by the computer.

Please give a detailed answer comparing all aspects of the two cameras.

The first thing you will notice is they are in two different classes of P&S camera. The Nikon is an Ultra-Compact and the Fujifilm is a SLR-like camera.

Since both cameras are excellent P&S cameras, you will have to actually go into a camera store that sells both and compare them yourself. Take one of your SD cards with you and do a test shoot with them at the highest and lowest ISO's and then take the card home and look on your computers monitor to see which produces the best image (at high ISO's the least noise)

Hey guys, I'm back with another camera question.

This time, I need some specifications and your opinions on the S52.

It's the $200, 9 Mpix digital camera from Nikon.

So, if anyone has this camera, can you tell me if it's good for someone who likes to take pictures of animals, people, etc, and isn't a pro?

Also, does it have a "burst mode", and does it shoot, and process pictures quickly without using a burst mode?
