Phase One Releases Media Pro 1.1
Improves performance of leading professional photographer’s digital visual assets manager
COPENHAGEN, October 25, 2011 — Phase One, the photographic image-quality leader today released Media Pro 1.1. Media Pro is a professional digital visual assets manager that supports rapid browsing, cataloging, searching, annotating, retrieval and sharing no matter where digital files are stored (such as shared folders, CDs, hard drives, DVDs or on other media). This new release features German and French localization and significant performance improvements.
Media Pro supports photo and video files from more than 100 different cameras and is well suited to managing large photo libraries. Images within Media Pro catalogs (more than 128,000 files may be saved per catalog) may be non-destructively edited with Capture One and with other image editing applications. Assets may also be converted into other file formats as required, and all catalogs may be archived, backed up, published via slide shows, web galleries, and distributed via email, contact sheets, prints, and other custom options.
What’s new in Media Pro 1.1
—Faster importing and media rendering
Now Media Pro customers can choose between Capture One rendering and Apple/WIC rendering according to image quality requirements, rendering of Capture One adjustments and speed. For new customers, the factory default is set to Apple/WIC rendering. For best image quality and rendering of Capture One adjustments, the Capture One renderer is recommended.
—Improved Capture One Integration with Media Pro
Used together, Phase One’s Capture One Pro for image editing and Media Pro for photo management, these programs comprise an optimal photography software toolset for photographers who need to manage very large, high quality image files and collections in a fast and efficient workflow.
Now Media Pro keeps Capture One adjustments when renaming and transferring files to other folders in Media Pro; and users can drop files onto the Media Pro application icon to have those rebuilt, selected and revealed in the front catalog;
—Added support for the following camera RAW formats when using the Capture One renderer:

How do you adjust the shutter speed for an olimpus E-410?
I have an Olimpus E-410 and I was just wondering how you would adjust the shutter speed to do things like take pictures of a running sink(just and example)
Thanks.
Put your camera in Shutter priority (S), then the shutter speed is selected by rotating the control wheel- left (clockwise) decreases speed, right increases it. You could also shoot in "A" (aperture priority) and select a smaller aperture, which will cause the camera to choose a slower shutter speed. Or in manual (M), you set both.
Read your owner's manual!
What is the difference between the Olympus E-410 and the Olympus E-510?
What is the difference between the Olympus E-410 and the Olympus E-510? Which is better?
There are three main differences and two additional "minor" differences -
The E-410 is smaller and lighter.
The E-410 uses a smaller, lower capacity battery that is different than the "standard" battery used in all other Olympus E-Series cameras (except possibly the E-400 available in limited markets).
The E-410 DOES NOT have image stabilization.
Minor differences -
Smaller number of control functions directly accessible from the control buttons.
Some software functions included in E-510 are omitted from E-410.
IMO Image Stabilization, better, more common battery w/longer life and accessory battery pack that can use over the counter batteries in a pinch make the E-510 a better buy.
Hope this helps.
P.S. For extensive reviews of Oly equipment and many links try te link below.
here is a link to the side by side comparriosn of the two

The most significant difference is that the E-510 has sensor-shift image stabilisation, which is described in positive terms (the reviewer was taking sharp shots at 1/20th of a second). This is built into the camera, as in the case of Sony's Alpha, so it'll work regardless of which lens you put on the front.
Whether that's worth the $100 price difference is up to you.
How to increase the brightness in Olympus E-410?
I have Olympus E-410 and sometimes when I take a picture with the AUTO mode, the picture seems dark (both in indoor and outdoor). So I tried changing the mode to Indoor and still the same case for indoors. Please guide me in taking bright pictures
Time to really READ & STUDY the Owner's Manual for your camera. Outdoors in Auto Mode your camera should give you crisp, bright pictures.
Indoors is more problematic, especially without flash. You may have the ISO set too low so try a higher setting.
Good luck.
Why does my Olympus E-410 DSLR camera not take instant pictures?
I am a novice at this photography lark, every time I take a picture I seem to be 2-5 seconds too late.... I always seem to get the celebrations not the goals!
"...every time I take a picture I seem to be 2-5 seconds too late..."
I think that's your answer.
WIth a DSLR and the Olympus name behind it leads me to belive that there is either soimething wrong with the camera or the settings....Bring it to a reputable dealer and tell them what you said here
I have an Canon Eos rebel XTI DSLR and the lag time is unoticeable
Good luck
Another problem is focus time. If your camera needs to focus on the shot, you lose time there too.
Try to focus on the general area of the shot to be taken and your camera will be "set" to take the shot a bit faster.
I am not familiar with your camera, but if it has a manual focus, this would eliminate the lag time for focus at least.

Would An Olympus Evolt E-410 or a Pentax K110D Be good for snowboard Photography?
I'm Looking to buy my first DSLR camera, I'm mainly using it for snowboarding, and other action sports. If you have any suggestions other than the e-410 or k110d that would be cheap, let me know
I can't speak for the Pentax, but the Evolt 510, and most probably the 410, has a special "scene" mode for snow and sand.
Is a Canon Speedlite 299T Flash Unit compatible with an Olympus E-410?
I've had my Olympus E-410 for a few months now and considered purchasing an external flash for it untill I saw how much they cost. Then a few days ago I purchased from eBay an old Canon T70 35mm SLR along with a Canon Speedlite 299T flash for real cheap money. I was wondering if the Speedlite would work on my Olympus.
First I would see if the speedlight will fit in the shoe on your olympus. Companies use different style fittings, so it may physically not be able to work on your olympus. If it does fit, check and see if the connections on the shoe and the speedlight will line up. If they do line up, and the flash fits on your camera, install it and try it out.
How do I get the 'graph' display off the screen on an Olympus E-410?
On the screen of my Camera, when in photo mode, there is a graph to show colour display, or light display. How do I get this off? When would this feature come in useful?
Press the INFO button to change the display...
If the 'graph' is the 'histogram',it helps with correct exposure...
Histogram...
If the bars in the histogram are higher on the
right, the image may be too bright. If the bars are
higher on the left, the image may be too dark.
Which camera is better: a Nikon D40x or Olympus E-410 with 2 lenses?
The Nikon model is D40X with focal length of 18-55 but the Olympus, Model E-410 comes with 2 different lenses;one with length of 14-42 and the other with 40-150. now i don't know which one has a better quality.can anybody help me. it's my husband Xmas gift. thanks.
Does your husband already have a 35mm film camera? If so I would recommend getting a digital outfit made by the same company since he might be able to use some of his lenses (if any).
Also, has he expressed an interest in a favorite brand. Many years ago my wife bought me a 35mm camera outfit for Christmas. I didn't have a 35mm camera at the time, it had been stolen from our apartment a couple of years eariler, and we hadn't been able to replace it. It was a Nikkormat FS with a Nikkor f/2.8 35mm lens. She found a used Nikon EM outfit, a very basic entry level 35mm camera, which I still have and which still takes great pictures. I still remember it as one of the best Christmas presents she ever got me.
If your husband doesn't have a prefence, he would probably be just as happy with either. Both are good cameras, but he might like having the second lens offered with the Olympus.
What accessories should i get for my Olympus E-410?
Im thinking about getting a remote flash from amazon. What other accessories do you think are good to have?
A comfortable neck strap to hold the camera, and a nice case to put the camera in whenever you aren't shooting with it. These will both really protect your investment, since accidental drops and dirt are the #1 cause of broken cameras.
Also, get at least a UV filter for your lens. In addition to removing the harsher aspects of sunlight, many people keep this filter on the lens all the time to protect it from scratches and dirt.
You can also protect yourself from a prematurely ended photo shoot by bringing a spare battery and memory card.
Beyond this basic protection, the accessories just depend on what you're photographing. If all you have is one mid-range kit lens and it's not quite meeting your needs, maybe you'd like to alternate it with a telephoto or a macro.
In addition to a flash, you might like a reflector or diffusor, especially if you're doing studio work, where control of lighting is key.
Filters are a relatively cheap way to get different effects with your pictures.
i have a olympus e 410 and want a high zoom lens but want to buy a nikon or canon lens to avoid?
the high costs of zuiko lenses. are there any adapters that go from the 4/3 e series Olympus body to an auto focus canon or Nikon lens. and with the adapter can i still use auto focus.
thank you for any answers
when you say high zoom i guess you mean longer focul length...The super tele photo lenses are from sigma i.e. 50-500mm Lens for 4/3, which is approx 40K INR.
the best from Olympus is 300mm which is about $5000K
Here's what i have tried...
Bought Vivitar OM Mount 300mm Fixed lens (f5.6) in ebay US @ $60/- shipped to india through a friend...orderd 4/3 to OM adapter @ $10/- HK shipped directly to india without any issues..from customs..and ...Voila... Super tele photo at shoestring price...and the result !!! Amazing....yes the only feature i miss out is autofocus which i can live w/o for now,
especially after the firmware update on the Oly DSLR now it supports Image Stabilisation on the body for Manual lenses as well...
If you buy 4/3 to OM Adapter with AF confirmation...your focussing is super easy...!!! it's worth it....!!!
you can also check for Newly launched olympus 70-300 for Four thirds....available at about 14K INR, with this you get longer tele, auto focus, and Image Stabilisation....all at just 14000/- ....of course at that cost it's a slower lense...
