Lexmark Pro715 PC Magazine
The Lexmark Pro715 ($200 list) is chock full of business-oriented features (including but not limited to fax, ADF, and auto-duplexer), making it a good choice for a micro or home office. Although it’s limited in home-centered features, it does print good photos, so it can serve as a household multi-function printer (MFP) as well.
The Pro715 is black, with silver sides and bottom. It measures 9.8 by 18.3 by 15.9 inches (HWD) and weighs 20.4 pounds. The tilt-up front panel includes a 2.4-inch (non-touch) color LCD plus 4-way controller; an alphanumeric keypad plus related fax buttons (Address book, Dial tone, Pause, and Redial); and buttons for On, Off, Start, Home, Back, Color/BW, and Eco.
The Pro715 can print, scan, copy, and fax. It can scan to a network or to e-mail. It has a 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), for feeding multi-page documents for copying, faxing, or scanning. A front USB port permits scanning to, or printing from, a USB thumb drive (as well as printing from PictBridge-enabled cameras), and you can preview your images on the LCD. The Pro715 lacks media-card slots.
The paper tray has a 150-sheet capacity, which should be fine for individuals as well as most micro or home offices. For those who need more, an optional 550-page tray ($130 street) is also available, for a maximum paper capacity of 700 sheets. An automatic duplexer, for printing on both sides of a sheet of paper, is standard on the Pro715.
This MFP is compatible with Lexmark’s latest LexPrint mobile printing app for iPhone and Android, and is also Apple AirPrint compatible.
The Pro715 offers Ethernet, WiFi, and USB connectivity. I tested it over an Ethernet connection with its driver installed on a PC running Windows Vista.

Print Speed and Output Quality
The Lexmark Pro715 printed out the latest version of our business applications suite (as timed with QualityLogic 's hardware and software) at 3.1 effective pages per minute (ppm). The Brother MFC-J825DW ($150 street, 4 stars) and Epson Stylus NX625 ($149.99 direct, 4 stars) , both Editors’ Choice MFPs, each finished the same tests at 4.0 ppm, while we clocked the Kodak Office HERO 6.1 ($199.99 direct, 4 stars) at 2.7 ppm.
Text quality was a touch below par for an inkjet, good enough for general business use, but not for documents like resumes where visual impact is important, let alone desktop publishing using small fonts.
The Pro715’s graphics quality was average for an inkjet. The most serious issue was banding (a regular pattern of white streaks against solid, dark backgrounds)—at times significant enough that I’d hesitate to distribute the graphics to anyone I wished to impress. Other issues included posterization (abrupt shifts in color where they should be gradual), and uneven distribution of ink in solid backgrounds.
Photo quality was above average for an inkjet; the prints are probably the best I’ve seen from a Lexmark printer. Colors were rich and well saturated, and detail was retained in both light and dark areas. All the test prints were of at least the quality you’d expect from drugstore prints, with some of them better.
Other Issues
Lexmark claims running costs of 2.4 cents per monochrome page and 15.2 cents per color page, based on the most economical ink cartridges. The monochrome cost per page is among the lowest we’ve seen for an inkjet, while the cost per color page is on the high side.
Unlike previous models we’ve reviewed in Lexmark’s Professional series, which had 5-year limited warranties, the Pro715’s warranty is for just one year. Lexmark says that this change was made based on customer feedback, to keep the sticker price down in lieu of adding years of service.
The Lexmark Pro715 has the paper capacity and features to put it in good stead as an MFP for a micro or home office. It prints good-quality photos, giving it some appeal for doing double duty in the home as well as home office, although it lacks photo-centric features such as a second paper tray or the ability to print from media cards. There are faster inkjet MFPs—the Brother MFC-J825DW and Epson Stylus NX625 (both PCMag Editors’ Choice printers) among them—and the MFC-J825DW offers a more comprehensive range of both home-office and home features, but the Lexmark Pro715 is a good choice to anchor a micro-office, and prints good photos to boot.

Graphic Tablet/ Computer Stylus?
I'm thinking about getting a graphic tablet/ stylus for my computer (dell inspiron) but i'm not too familiar with the different brands and which is a good quality one. i'm not expecting to pay too much, preferably 100-150. i'll probably use it for drawing/ working on stuff on my computer, but nothing too technical. i would use it as a template to draw sketches and maybe take notes on in class. any recommendations? serious advice greatly appreciated.

What is a good color touch screen PDA, that is under 150.00?
Please try and find one without a stylus, you just use your fingers
I just changed my cell plan back to Sprint and bought one of the new Palm Centros that was just released. I have been using it for about 3 days now and it is excellent! The reviews complained mainly about the small keypad, and me being a man with large fingers, I've had a few problems with mistyping but overall this phone is awesome and I highly recommend it, and it's a touchscreen. With a 2 year service plan they only charged me $99 for the phone, and waived the activation fee. Someone told me it's always good to sign up for a new cell phone plan in december since that is their slow time. I would beware of the blackberrys, the sales guy told me blackberry with or without a data plan charges you $30 more per month for some reason. But good luck! *P.S. it comes with a stylus, but if your fingers are small enough you really don't need it!

list of cameras i want to buy, what do you think of your cam if you have one thats listed?
i want to buy a camera and i want to know your opinion on these cameras , durability and specs, what do you think? has yours started messing up yet or no?
the cameras listed are about 150-200 bucks
-Olympus - Stylus 8.0MP Digital Camera - Orange
-Kodak - EasyShare 8.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Blue
-Samsung - 7.2MP Digital Camera - Silver
-Canon - PowerShot 8.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black
-Kodak - EasyShare 10.3-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black
-FUJIFILM - FinePix 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Silver
-Panasonic - Lumix 8.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Silver
You only stated Camera manufacturers but not the specific models. So this will be a very tough decision to make. With the limited info, I can only give you some basics with Camera selection.
Durability
What type of durability are you looking for? If you are talking about real durability, some cameras are now designed to take 5 foot drops and can be submerged underwater in a maximum depth of around 10-33 feet. To get what I am talking about check the Olympus models.
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_digital_sw.asp
But this will easily exceed your 200 bucks price range.
If you are talking about day to day normal use durability, then it is another thing all together.
Specs
What are you looking for in a camera?
Are you the point and shoot type of person or are you going for serious photography planning to tweak settings like aperture, exposure, shutter speed, with external lens adjustment?
What size of photos do you plan to print? 4R? 5R? etc.
If you plan on printing 5R photos only, a 7 mega pixel camera can easily do that job.
Other things to consider.
Rechargeable Battery.
Do you go for proprietary batteries, or double AA sized rechargeable batteries?
Proprietary batteries: cameras that uses this normally have a slimmer body making it more portable and pocket friendly. Problem with this, shall you run out of battery power, then you should always have a spare handy, if none, then sorry.
AA batteries: Cameras using AA batteries are more versatile, and you can always use standard Alkaline batteries in case of emergency. Drawback is, Cameras this size are generally more bulky.
Technology
Most cameras compete on technology like, Auto Face detection, smile capture function, Image stabilizer, motion stabilizer, anti shake, etc. Are you picky with these type of functions?
ViewFinder
I personally prefer cameras with viewfinders and LCDs. I find the view finders useful when I am saving on battery as LCDs take around 20% of the battery power. I also use the view finder in very sunny conditions where it is difficult to use the LCD screen because of glare.
Last, the Camera Size.
So you have to decide on what you are really looking for in a Camera for people in the community to help you.
In general terms, I have previously used Olympus, Kodak, and Canon Cameras. My present camera is Canon Power A570IS (7.1 megapixels).
Main purpose is to be a point and shoot camera, with some professional settings (Aperture and shutter speed settings) shall I plan on being more creative in the future. No plans of underwater shooting nor dropping the camera. It also utilizes 2x AA batteries. (as I personally prefer AA batteries even if the size does gets bigger)
My brother on the other hand uses a Canon IXUS 50. Uses proprietary batteries, very slim, and he attaches to his belt everyday.
So it really depends on where you plan to use the camera. I use mine occasionally so I don't mind the size. My brother on the other hand uses it everyday so he got a slimmer camera.
As you can see, in my family, we prefer canon cameras as it has proven to be dependable during the years (assuming you take care of it of course). If I would suggest an affordable point and shoot camera for you, it will be the Canon Power shot A470. It is the slimmest camera using AA batteries to date.
The review link:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2008_reviews/canon_a470.html
But if you are looking for a hardcore robust camera. meaning, a camera that will last without worrying about taking care of it, go for the olympus cameras mentioned on the link above. If I had the budget, I will be getting one of the Olympus cameras due to its durability, versatility, and it way more portable than my present camera. And I would also love shooting underwater photos without purchasing additional underwater casings/sleeves.
Good luck, happy shooting, and be more specific next time to minimize the length of answers.
Good computer art pad?
So I don't know exactly what they're called, but what's a good quality art pad for the computer (one of those things you draw on with a stylus and it shows up on the computer)? I'm looking for one at around $150 or less.
there's some nice convertible notebook style laptops that would work, but for $150 or less, you'll probably do good with a tablet pc. maybe you could try the toshiba tablet pc...go to www.toshibadirect.com and look for it there....if that's not what you're looking for maybe it'll help you get an idea of something.
Best Digital Camera?
I'm just looking for a point and shoot in the $150-$250 range. Right now I'm looking at a Nikon Coolpix s200 or 210. I was also looking at the Olympus Stylus 790 SW. Does anybody have any feedback on any of these cameras or do you have another option that i should try? Thanks!
All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on.......
The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.
I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.
Good Luck

What kind of VIDEO GAMES would you like to see made?
Have you ever had video game ideas, but you don't know how to make them or draw them out?
I have some, tell me yours too!
you can also tell me what you think of mine, I just wanted to see what kind of ideas people had.
My really old game idea about megaman:
Someone could make something like a PET but it is also like a controller which u plug into the gamecube or it connects to the wii.
Then you would have to go to target and buy "chips". The chips will be like 1mb memory chips containing the graphics and command movements for the batle move and then send the information to the 'net navi' on the screen, which you can move around with your joystick and use your basic attack by pressing the A button.
Super Smash bros. For NINTENDO DS:
The top screen would be a full view of the map when you are fighting, and the bottom would be like a 150% to 200% zoomed camera following your character. The controls would be like ones on the game cube controller.
>>>-----------------------------------...
3DCounter Strike for NINTENDO DS;
This is probably my best one. The top screen would be where your gun is and where you can see your character moving around in FPS view. To point your crosshair around, you place your stylus around the middle of the bottom screen, near a white dot which represents your crosshair above, and then you can move your stylus around to move the view of the screen above. This way, your stylus won't get in the way of your screen and you can see where the enemy is.
to move around the map use the arrow keys.
to fire use L button
to jump double tap thescreen
to reload tap a "reload" button on the bottom screen.
switch weapons x and y OR
there is also a weapons selection menu on the bottom screen.
there is also a map popup option and scoreboard button on the bottom screen.
the bottom screen can have customizable image in the background.
you can create your own spray paint like your Mario Kart DS logos.
you can also hit a "chat" button on the bottom screen and a soft keyboard will appear and you can chat.
A game That i thought that would be is a jedi Star Wars game for the Wii but it would be a little tricky to do but i thought of some ways that could work.
Wii Mote
Well Obviously the Wii mote as a light saber but also to control your force powers. Heres how it should go you hit the B button to activate your light saber most people would say A button but i have my reasons.
Those being that the A button is to use your force powers. I found that the A button for force powers is easier to access for the movements of the Wii mote. The type of the force power u want to use would be selected by the D-pad then when ur force power is in the selected mode you hold A and do the force movement like for light saber throw u hold A and whirl the Wii mote just like they do in the movies and the saber will go and come back or for the dark ones for force lightning you would hold the remote straight out in front of you with it side ways in your hand holding A and lightning comes from your Characters Hand.
Nunchuk:
Now the tricky part is the character controlling with the nunchuk i have the Z-button down as the jump button and swinging the nunchuk forward, left, right or pulling the nunchuk back would make you do a dodge in that direction and C-button is lock-on keep pressing it change the locked character. but my problem is moving the character i cant figure an exact movement coordination with only 1 joystick but im sure we can figure it out Nintendo email me if you think the ideas good and like i said we can figure out the rest (Rsands738@yahoo.com)
