MY OLYMUS stylus 410 digital's lcd screen is black?

well, since you still have the other markings on your screen, I dont' think the screen itself is broken. Check to see if something's blocking the outside of your lens. Look inside the lens from the front and see if there's anything that looks out of place. Finally, check the settings on your camera that controls the brightness of your lcd screen to make sure it's not set to dark by accident.

Oh.. and see if it does that outside during daylight hours too. A lot of cameras dont' handle low light situations as well as your eyes can so it'll be black, even though you yourself can still see.

When you open the cover door does the lens come out? If not then there is your problem and it should go in for repair. If it does come out press the menu button to see if you can see the menu, if you can then there is a problem with the lens, if you cant make sure the monitor on. Most likely you will have to send the camera in for repair, if you call Olympus they can give you an estimate and they also have a repair exchange program. The number is 1-888-553-4448

Well I have a Olympus Stylus Digital 410 and all of a sudden the lens wont come out when i open the slider.....Its FULLY charged and i can still view pics and everything but the lens wont come out and i cant take pics...please help somone!

it's possible that your lens is jammed up. i had this problem back then with my lumix. and it appears that some sand-like particles may have got into e slider and thus e lens cannot come out. i'd suggest that you should get it repaired cause unless you know how to dismantle e digicam and put it back, it's unlikely to solve this problem.. you can try shaking it and on/off every now and then but that's risky cause you might spoil it instead of fixing it.. haha..

the digital part to see the camera doesnt work and neither does the playback and i dont have viewfinder and the orange light is on not the green

I think you need to go back and look over your camera's owner manual. I don't know what the lights mean,but make sure the battery is fully charged. If the booklet doesn't make any sense try going back to the dealer that you bought it from and ask them.

It sounds like the camera is frozen. If you just purchased it, I would go back to where you bought it and have them look at it. If you have had it for some time, you should contact the company that built it (Olympus) and check out whether your warranty is still in effect. If the warranty is over, you could still take it in for repair, but that could be quite expensive.
