Christmas gives you 100 hottest gadgets, but no time to play if you are human HULIQ
London's Telegraph newspaper listed the “top 100 hottest gadgets” Dec. 21 with a catch: there’s no time to use or play with any of these tech things.
Also, there is no App made today that can “pet your dog, make love to your wife, husband or lover, feed your face, brush your teeth, sleep a good eight hours, exercise, eat a good breakfast, lunch, dinner while munching on Mom’s holiday cookies and yes, even work, while having 10 minutes to yourself to enjoy the following. Here are some of those hottest gadgets: Palm Pre, Sony X-Series Walkman, Nokia N97, Philips 21:9 Cinema, TomTom Go 940 LIVE, Sony Reader PRS-700BC Reader Digital Book Touchscreen, B&W Panorama, Toshiba TG01, Canon IXUS 980, Sony VAIO P-series, Asus EEPC S101, Apple iPod Touch, Panasonic 3D HDT, Apple iPhone 3G, Panasonic DMC-FTI, Sky+ HD, LG Watch Phone, SonyBravia ZX1, Humax FOXSAT-HDR, Nintendo Wii, Blackberry Bold, Tikitags, LG LH9500 LED TV, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Samsung LED HDTVs, Xbox 360 Elite, Acer Aspire One (10 inch), Sony PSP-3000, Sony XEL-1, Samsung BD-P4600, HTC Touch Cruise, Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2000, G1 Android, Sony PS3, Beats by Dr. Dre Tour, Nintendo Dsi, Sonos BU150 Bundle, Motorola Motozine ZN5 and the ever popular 02 XDA Flint.
Apps as helpful is “a lie,” say users
Guess what? There’s a new camera app which lets you upload videos straight to the web straight after filming, but the downside is you will have very little time to both upload, view, edit and then share this “one” video with family or friends because they too have apps that are uploading more stuff to put on those wee little screens that you can hardly see anyway.
“What we have is this drive to market more and more apps and tech gadgets without thinking ‘who the heck has time for any of it?’ I mean it takes me hours just to take care of my business in the morning, and then eat and get out of the house and I’m not even doing to work yet,” explains Eugene “hippie” Blake who says “the only app I use is my belly if I’m hungry, and my brain if I’m horny and my mouth if I want to say this tech crap is a lie ‘cause we all just get 24 hours a day, man.”
Moreover, Blake told Huliq during a recent interview that the “best way to travel has always been one’s brain.”
“It’s Christmas. That means you have to actually speak to people you meet on the street with ‘Merry Christmas,’ or ‘Happy Holidays.’ I don’t think an app or your iPhone can do that for you with the true spirit of the holiday,” he adds while shaking his head as if to say “is this real, man. How are we living these days?”
While Blake may be old school, and tech fans love their gadgets, there’s something else to consider when taking time out to play with all the gadgets you got for Christmas. How about the kids?
“Yea, do you want your kids to just stare at those screens all day on Christmas? Don’t you want them to sing songs with you and the family? Don’t you want that Christmas laughter? Does anyone remember laughter? Blake exclaims in a loud voice.
More tech gadgets than Santa can carry
And, if Santa didn’t get you that certain “hot” tech gadget that you can’t live without, how about: Cambridge DacMagic, Pure Avanti Flow, TVOnics DTR-Z500, Creative Vado HD, Lenovo IdeaCentre A600, Korg Kaossilator, Apple iPod nano, Pioneer HDJ-2000, HP MediaSmart Server ex487, Samsung YP-P3 and the fun DreamGEAR B.C. Rich Warbeast guitar if you have a few extra hours on Christmas day.
At the same time, Santa may have gotten you: an S2 Internet exercise bike, Geneva XL iPod Behemoth, Fujifilm F100FD, Sennheiser HD800 headphones, Virgin Media V+ HD set-top box, Kodak OLED Photo frame and an Amazon Kindle 2 because you have time to read all the 3,500 books that you can get online.
Still, there’s the ever popular: Apple iMac 24-inch, Nikon D700, Garmin Nuvifone, Lenovo Ideapad S10E, Logitech G15, Archos 10 Netbook, Speedo Aquabeat MP3 player, Logitech Squeezebox Boom, Nokia N96, Toshiba NB100, Sony Ericsson C905, Cowon S9, Navigon 7210, ASUS Eee Keyboard, HP TouchSmart IQ810, Elgato EyeTV (with HD recording update for Mac), Western Digital 2TB Caviar Green HDD, Sega Megadrive Handheld, Nokia E71, New 17-inch: 2.66GHz Apple Macbook Pro, B&W CM Series, Guitar Hero World Tour, Panasonic HDC-SD100, Mitshubishi HC6500 LCD Projector, Motorola Aura, Slingbox Pro, Mino Camcorder, Carrera GT Racers, DreamVision DreamBee2 Projector, i2i Stream, AI-based Pleo, Eco Media Player Revolution, INQ1 phone, Zippo OUL, Quantum Wine Age-r , BT I-Plate, Wii Balance Board, Arcam FMJ High Definition AV Receiver, Olympus E-30, Pogo Instant Digital Camera, Guitar Hero III wireless Les Paul, Wowee Spyball and, of course, the Sony CyberShot DSC-T700.
Get real simple and come up for air during the holidays
While each and every one of the “hot 100 tech gadgets” will cost Santa a bundle, there’s a recent view from realsimple.com that Christmas may require you to “put that screen down,” and come up for air and “make a recording of yourself reading a favorite children’s book for a niece, a nephew, or a grandchild―or for your own child, if you’re leaving for a long business trip or a hospital stay. End the recording with a sweet good-night message for the child.”
At the same time, realsimple.com states another fun holiday task is to “give your long-distance grandmother a window into your family’s daily life by assembling an annual scrapbook of your adventures. Include Polaroids, postcards, newspaper clippings, travel brochures, and handwritten anecdotes you’ve collected over the course of the year.”
Yes, it’s difficult to have time for people when there’s so many screens to look at, and gadgets that require you to actually give up time spent tossing a football with your son or nephew, but what the heck it’s the holidays, right.
Instead of depending upon “screens,” realsimple.com recommends “sending someone who may be homesick a few clippings from or a subscription to her hometown newspaper.”

Can you please help me with my Sony Cybershot T700 settings?
I just bought a Sony Cybershot T700 in China and the instructions are in Chinese. It's such a nice camera but I want to turn off the automatic "portrait" setting when I'm reviewing the pictures. It's better to view the "portrait" in "landscape" because the picture is much bigger that way and easier to view. However, if I put it back on landscape, it keeps going back to portrait when I review it again. Would anyone know how to turn off the automatic "portrait" review setting?
I tried to find the electronic version of your manual, but Sony is making it very, very difficult (or not do-able) - another reason why I'd never buy a Sony.
Perhaps the camera is too new and eventually they WILL add it.
I suggest you keep checking every now and then.
Music transfer on the Sony Cybershot T700?
I downloaded the disk that came with my sony cybershot T700 camera and when i click on "music transfer" it tells me to connect my camera but it is already connected. Can anybody tell me how to get it to work? Thanks.
I looked that up in google and found a few links that looked related. I would put the links down but it would probably be more useful to you to see them all. You could also contact the company, maybe they know :)
Can Sony cybershot t700 take photos without memory stick?

Does anyone know the song with the lyrics “if you could come out and play with me” in Sony Cybershot T700 ads?
It is the ads with people in colourful clothes playing on the meadow. And the lyrics sound like "if you could come out and play with me, then everything would be what it could be. everything will be fine if you say you'll be mine". Sorry if I misheard something and thank you.
It's not an actual song, it was just made for the commercial

I need a new cam and I'm torn between Sony Cybershot T700 and Canon IXUS 870. Which do you think is better? =p?
I fell in love with Cybershot's style but I think the Canon's images are great. I also want to have a good & sturdy cam since I won't be buying for the next couple of years.
Thanks!
I also need a cam that could get better nighttime shots.
And that's easy to use. =p
Canon. Always better than Sony.
What is the difference between sony cybershot DSC-t700 and sony cybershot DSC-t300? Can some one explain??
I bought T300 but recently they launched T700. I didnt like T300 because of its battery life and low picture quality, it doesnt seem like 10.1 MP neither its daul image stabilization work good.
Please help me find whether they resolved these problem in T700 or still lacking behind.
If this Website reviewed these cameras, you'll find the difference in their specifications. Website dpreview.com
When will the Sony Cybershot DSC T700 be released in Canada?
Its an amazing camera and i would like to get it.. but i dint trust buying it online... so when will it hit stores in Canada?
That's the camera I got, I'm not really sure when it will be available because I bought it here before it hit stores online. I was skeptical about buying it online but they would send emails to keep me posted on what time to expect it.
