I cracked the screen on my gf's Cybershot DSC T77 (bad, I know!). How much would it be to replace the screen?

Does anyone know if its economical to have the screen repaired on a Sony Cybershot DSC T77 if I can buy an new one for roughly $240? Any input would be much appreciated.

I went to different stores yesterday and saw it was around like 279 or w.e for 10.1MP but then i went to circuit city and i swear it was cheaper there i don't remember the price but i swear I saw I saw like the 8.1 for 149 or w.e. whenever I search online I can't find the 8.1 only the 10.1 I want the cheapest cybershot T77 which i the 8.1 not the 10.1 so yeah.

what mode should i select in sony cybershot T77?

should i click pics in 10mp mode(325 pictures] or 16:9[999 pics)...i heard higher mp are only for prints not for quality...is it true..pls help...

proof please? wuts the cord called that allows you to do this? (or the plug or w/e its called)...Can you connect to all televisions? normal cable, high definition?

Most digital cameras have that feature ... just connect the A/V cord that came with your camera to the TV

Which camera is better? The Sony Cybershot DSC-T77 or the Casio EXILIM EX-S10???? ?

I want to buy a camera for christmas but i can't decide which one to buy the sony t77 or the casio s10. I like the slimline on both cameras love the touch screen on the sony t77 but casio is lighter and smaller to carry.. Please let me know what you think..

the sony t77 is wayyy better, i got it for christmeas and its sooo awsome and really pretty.... you can even draw on the picture you take directly on the touch screen, their is also this think to enhance peoples smiles s it looks like they have a big smile... sooooo awsome, and their is a face recodnition and it ditects children and adults.... and you can even add your own music to it like from you computer... its the best and trust me you will love it... the other camera is lame... and kinda ugly... :) hoped i helped you decide..... GO SONY DSC T77!!!

Is Sony Cybershot T77 a good camera?

It has 10.1 megapixels i believe, so it must be ok. I barely researched about it or havent used it at a store yet, I just think its really pretty:] Is it a good camera? Is it worth the price?

If you already have a few Memory Stick Duo / Pro Duo memory cards then sure .. it does not have any user control over the f/stop or shutter speed, so it that is important, you may want to look at a different model ... one with aperture and shutter speed priority modes.

If you have a bunch of SD / SDHC memory cards, then you will want to look at any camera BUT a Sony or Olympus P&S

By the way, pixel count does not mean that much. It is the size of the sensor that means the most and most P&S sensors have very small sensors

Does it have special effects like black and white/sepia?

It has three color effects: Normal, Vivid and Sepia.

But effects like this are much better done in a photo-editor, I think.

Both are excellent cameras.

You will have to go into a store that sells both and try them out ... see which you like the best.

The Nikon uses the nearly industry standard SD / SDHC memory cards

The Sony uses a proprietary memory card, the Memory Stick
