How do I get my sony DCR-DVD610 HYBRID to play on the TV?

how can i record the tv screen without just recording the tv. the camera came with an A/v cable and i lost the manual.

I have a HP.

If you have a mini dvd camcorder….
You will have to finalize your dvd in the camera and then put the dvd in your computer's DVD burner (top loading only) and then you will have to convert the files (I downloaded handbrake file converter free) and import them into your editing program. Use the HELP feature in your editing program to learn about editing. Once you are ready to burn, your project will be burned to a different DVD and you can file the original away.

Is the Sony handy-cam dcr-dvd610 compatible with windows vista movie maker?

YES IT IS COMPATIBLE. I import my DVDs from my Sony DVD Camcorder to my Vista Laptop using ULEAD Video Maker. Before Importing you must FINALIZE your DVD using the Camcorder.

After you have imported your Video go to the directory where it is located and you should be able to drag and drop to your Movie Maker.

If no sound appears in movie maker and you just get the image just download a Converter. I have a converter called "Quick Media Converter".(Link Below)

Normal capacity for those discs is only 30 mins for a single-sided disc. We carry the double-sided discs as well that will give you 1 hour each.

Can I use my sony hybrid dcr-dvd610 as a webcam?

Hi, I was just wondering if there was a way I could use my sony dcr-dvd610 camcorder as a webcam. I've connected it to my computer using the usb cable it came with and turned it on, but it is not being detected by msn messenger. Do I need a driver to make it run? If so, where could I download this from?

You will have to install the software that comes with it first to make sure the driver is in your computer.

Both are DVD based camcorders, so both are equally bad. If plan to never edit the video and do not expect to get the video into your computer for editing or uploading, then flip a coin.

I am thinking of buying a Sony DCR-DVD610 Handycam Camcorder. If anyone owns one, i'd like some feedback!
1. How long does the battery last with one charge?

2. Are there any larger battery packs you can buy?

3. Do you need to buy any software in order to put everything on the computer?

4. I've heard that sony disks work the best....which kind goes with this style.....DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, or something different?

5. Where the cheapest ones are....on amazon.com two weeks ago it was $286.88, and now it's over $300....i'm looking for something closer to the $280 number.

6. Are all of the sony camcorder disks have only 30 minutes of recording time? are there some with more like 60 minutes?

7. If taking pictures with it, do you need to buy a memory stick? If yes, about how much do they cost?

8. Are you happy with your camcorder???
