Is a Sony DCR-SR45 30GB Handycam Camcorder good? with 2.7 inch touch screen LCD?
I need a cheap but all in the same time good quality video camera. Is the Sony DCR-SR45 30GB Handycam Camcorder good for the price of $400.00 good?
It depends what you want to do with it. It's OK as a hard drive camcorder, but they're not good with lots of movement and the video quality degrades when you edit it. That's a general criticism of HDD camcorders, btw, not just the DCR-SR45
How can I stream video from my Sony Handy cam DCR-SR45?
I just recently got a Sony Handy cam DCR-SR45. It's a great camera with a 30gb hard drive but i want to stream video to my computer or have it be able to be a webcam. Windows Vista automatically installed the drivers, but it will only detect the 30 gigabyte hard drive, not the fact that it is a camera. I cant even use it as a webcam on Windows Live Messenger. Any ideas?
If the camcorder had streaming as a feature, it would be in the manual on how to do that. This camera does not have those instructions in the manual. It does not stream. Most cameras do not.
